Left To Fend For Himself At A Busy Phuket Market.....

Hi, my name is Pea Mai, which means New Year in Thai. I was picked up by Soi Dog Foundation rescue officer Khun Jaroon. I am only a young puppy and I was dumped at a local market near Phuket City. It was pretty scary being in such a busy place by myself and I was struggling to find food and a comfortable place to sleep. I also have bad skin problems and my skin was always itchy, making it hard to get a good rest.

Themed Fundraiser Held In Australia.......

Thank you to Skye Sinclair, a wonderful volunteer from Australia, who recently held fundraiser for Soi Dog Foundation. Skye and her friends raised just over $300 with more to follow. They held an Op Shop Glamour theme night and had lots of fun.
They are now planning the next theme night, whilst the younger guests decided to do some door knocking with a collection box.
Great work everyone and thank you Skye for organising this one. Skye was one of the first supporters to donate to Soi Dog Aust...

A Little Dog Lost...

As part of Soi Dog's "Challenge The World 2014", flight volunteer Zat Lewis is running an ultra marathon in May inspired by Soi Dog Dominos story.
Can you remember the little Soi Dog that got lost only on his first day in his new home?

Help Dogs In Need By Sponsoring Dorothy Today.....

Dorothy was found outside a supermarket after being hit by a car and suffering nerve damage. She was also malnourished and suffering from blood parasites and it is evident that Dorothy once suffered from distemper as she now has a permanent shake.
Dorothy has been at shelter for two years and is approx. 4 years old. Dorothy is the boss of her run and loves visits from volunteers (and nibbling on their legs), being brushed and going for walks.

New Year, New Home for Boon Rod?
Meet the adorable “Boon Rod” who has been with us all of his life since he was born at one of our Mobile Clinics that travel the Island.
He was brought to us and hand reared as it was feared he would not survive on the streets. He is 9 months old now, and has grown into the most fun loving affectionate little guy who has as I am sure you will agree, the most amazing colouring.

Domonic came to the shelter from Wat Ban Don in a sorry state. He was hairless with serious thyroid problems. Some people may have consider him an ugly dog, but he keeps growing a little bit more hair all the time and the volunteers think he is handsome and has a wonderful nature. The staff have to rub sunscreen on him as his skin tends to burn and this is important as he likes to spend his days sunbathing. Just a few photos of some of our dogs enjoying the snow in their new homes. Many people think Thai dogs won’t enjoy a colder climate. You could not be more wronmg! We have sent dogs to Finland, Novascotia, Switzerland etc., and every dog would rather be in a colder climate. Why dogs here tend to only come out in the early morning and evening.
