THE AMAZING PUDDLEBY…!!! Puddleby arrived at our shelter in September 2012 having been found shivering with cold, very hungry and wet after being dumped in a gully at a local Temple with 3 other siblings. They were all around 4 weeks of age and would not have survived much longer on their own. She is now nearly 18 months old, and has grown into a stunning dog. She is affectionate and loving, and can still be a little shy, but once you gain her trust she is all yours. She has a beautiful ...

Help Special Needs Dogs Like Lucy By Becoming A Sponsor Today....
12th Jan 2014, by Soi Dog Foundation

Four years ago Lucy was found in the Laguna area of Phuket. A German man found her on the street and brought her to the Soi Dog shelter. She was just a few months old and absolutely terrified! Lucy has been frightened of people her entire life, but we don't know why. Probably as a result of terrible trauma/abuse when she was very young, something she's sadly never forgotten. Despite concerted efforts to socialise Lucy, she still remains very fearful of people, runs away if you try to approach...

MEET KHUN MIA OUR BABY CARER.
11th Jan 2014, by Soi Dog Foundation

Khun Mia is an unusual employee in that she never comes to the shelter and with good reason. She is employed by SDF to care for the tiniest puppies and kittens at her home until they are fully vaccinated and able to come to the shelter. Puppies and kittens are often abandoned from a few days old and require intensive care and hand rearing. They are also very susceptible to disease so SDF employ Mia to care for these tiny ones at her own home. An SDF vet visits them each week or more often if ne...

MAXINE TODAY. We regularly get posts asking us about what happened to the dog featured on our banner. The photo was taken during the Bangkok floods of 2011. Maxine (the dogs name) was one of over 300 dogs rescued by SDF from the flooded National Buddhist headquarters that were stranded on a small bridge and clinging to trees in the park. Maxine came to symbolise the plight of animals caught up in the floods. The destroyed shelter there was rebuilt by SDF after the floods but Maxine and some ot...

Help Abandoned Dogs Like Hundee - Become A Sponsor Today
9th Jan 2014, by Soi Dog Foundation

Hundee was found on the beach limping, probably from being hit by a car. Hundee still has problems with her leg, most likely due to permanent nerve damage. Hundee is approx. 4 years old and has been at the shelter for two years now. She is a friendly but quiet dog who loves cuddles and a good belly rub who is more comfortable to wait her turn than push in front of the queue. You can help us look after Hundee by becoming her sponsor. Your monthly donation will ensure Hundee is well cared for a...
