Gill, Pond and Raymond rushed to the scene to evaluate the situation. The German man reported that the developer of his expanding estate has removed five dogs living in the area, most likely by poisoning. Unfortunately the mother of these pups was one of the dogs that was removed from the site. Thankfully the mother had t...

Helena Says Her Goodbyes
28th Jan 2014, by Soi Dog Foundation

Helena came to our shelter as a young puppy almost 3 months ago. She had been found with a sore back leg, and was too young to be on the streets on her own, so we took her in and cared for her and got her back to full strength. A wonderful couple have been coming to our shelter for the last few months looking for the right dog for them to adopt, and they finally met and fell head over heals in love with Helena. Today was the day for her to head to her new home with Craig and Kay, and they were...

JOLT HAS SOME GREAT NEWS TO SHARE Hi, it’s Jolt here. I was found on a really busy bridge called Sarasin Bridge which is the only way to get from Phuket to the rest of Thailand, by car anyway. I had been dumped there and then I got hit by a car and couldn’t walk. The vets at Soi Dog were very worried that I wouldn’t walk again and I was very scared. I also felt really sick as I had blood parasites which the vets gave me medicine for. Last time I updated you, I had great news that I was ...

REMEMBER MR HAT?
27th Jan 2014, by Soi Dog Foundation

Mr Hat came to the shelter after he got into an accident which unfortunately resulted in the loss of his leg. He also had terrible skin problems and was feeling miserable in general. While he was at the Soi Dog Shelter, he transformed from a sad little guy who would sit in a hole in the ground in the puppy run to a friendly dog who loved his walks. The man who originally brought Mr Hat to the shelter (also named Mr Hat) decided to adopt Mr Hat when he returned to Germany. Things did not go well...
