Natalie’s Luck Improves After Being Dumped At Local School
3rd Feb 2014, by Soi Dog Foundation

Natalie was found by long time Soi Dog Supporter Lillian, on the grounds of a school in the south of Phuket. We believe Natalie was dumped as she was struggling to take care of herself. Without the street smarts that most street dogs in Thailand possess, we are unsure if Natalie would have survived and she will now call the Soi Dog shelter her home until a family can be found for her. Curiously, Natalie is missing part of her left hind leg and we have no idea what has happened to her. This may...

Vets Try To Save Sight Of Basset Hound Stabbed In The Eyes
3rd Feb 2014, by Soi Dog Foundation

This poor Basset hound we have named Taurus was rescued from a local temple after reports it had been stabbed in the eyes by people unknown, with sticks. The gentian violet was applied by a well-meaning local. On examination the right eye was found to be completely destroyed and the left eye is damaged and it is too soon to say whether the sight can be saved. How this dog ended up in a local temple is a bit of a mystery and we guess was probably abandoned by a departing foreigner, as such a bre...
