Soi Dog in Canada has been working really hard on their 2014 Weight Loss Challenge (https://www.facebook.com/events/586233638117115/) .
Their team has been struggling to lose weight and have only 1 week left to go! Please help us cheer them on down their finish line, as they reach to achieve their targets to raise funds to help build the new hospital at the Phuket shelter and provide care for the Soi Dogs.

Last night a raid was conducted on a dog skin tannery in Sakhon Nakhon district by the Royal Thai Police. Several hundred dog skins were seized and multiple arrests made.

Hogi is one of the many dogs at the shelter suffer from recurring skin infections, requiring constant medication. Hogi is a sweet dog living in Soi Dog's old age area. Animal Rescue Officer Khun Nok found him on the streets several years ago totally bald.
Hogi, while a very happy dog suffers from severe skin problems and requires very regular and very expensive skin treatment. Although his photo is somewhat distressing he is in considerably better shape than when first found.

Cooper was recently picked up by Khun Jaroon after being hit by a car and injuring his left front leg. Cooper was sent immediately for x-rays and found to have a fracture which required a cast to be fitted to his leg. Cooper also has wounds on his hip, which may have been caused in the accident or may have been inflicted by a person.
