Poor Jiminy Is Finally Getting The Treatment He Needs
23rd Apr 2014, by Soi Dog Foundation

Jiminy came to the shelter with very bad skin problems. His owners live here in Phuket but have gone away for the recent Songkran (Thai New Year) holiday. His skin has been getting progressively worse from when he was first spotted by Soi Dog and although the owners had been advised to take him to a vet, they had not done so. They have now been told that he is with us, where he will get the treatment he needs. The vets have examined Jiminy and, by carrying out a skin scraping, determined that h...

Hogi is one of the many dogs at the shelter suffering from recurring skin infections, requiring constant medication. Hogi is a sweet dog living in Soi Dog's old age area. Animal Rescue Officer Khun Nok found him on the streets several years ago totally bald. A Happy Ending To The Story Of Biscuit

Hello, my name is Biscuit. You might remember me but if not, you’ll find my original story here: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.61097625 5610780.1073742334.108625789179165&type=3 I came to Soi Dog with my Mum Bounty and my sister Bagel when we were dumped outside the shelter gates and found by a staff member. We were all in good health but our previous owner probably didn’t want my Mum to have babies but hadn’t got her sterilised to stop us being born. We got a lot of care fro...

Hello, I’m Maruko. The lovely vets here tried to save my leg by doing a special operation and inserting a pin to help my injuries heal. They made sure I got plenty of rest, which was a bit boring as I really just wanted to run around. In the end, the pin...

A huge thank you to Clare Rooney, a Soi Dog supporter based in the UK. Clare recently held an 80s themed party for her birthday and asked guests to donate to Soi Dog instead of buying her gifts. Clare raised £400 through her kind gesture, which will help to treat a lot of sick and injured animals. Here's Clare (front right, dressed as Adam Ant!) along with all her kind friends who donated. Thank you Clare!

Want to help the orphaned, neglected and abused puppies of Thailand? You can do so by joining Shiver’s Puppy Care Club. Soi Dog picks up many young puppies every week, Most have been abandoned on roadsides or dumped and left to die. Unfortunately only the lucky ones are found and given a second chance. Sadly these very young puppies have often been separated from their mothers and have very little resistance to disease. Due to the vulnerability of tiny puppies, sadly some do not survive. You...
