Soi Dog Foundation is organising a global fundraising event this year, to run throughout the whole of 2014.
This is something we can all do together. By being part of this team you can help build the Hanako hospital which will provide the best possible care to the dogs and cats of Thailand.
You can choose your event, be it running, swimming, cycling, losing weight, giving up smoking, holding a coffee morning or even shaving your head!

Friendly Boy Nash Is Recovering From Pain

Nash is a handsome boy of approximately 8 years of age. He came to the shelter from a mobile clinic at Saphan Hin in Phuket town. He was brought to Soi Dog because of a large open wound on his neck, probably caused by a bite from another dog, which would no doubt have been causing him a lot of pain.
Upon examination, the vets determined that the wound was infected and Nash was put on medication and the wound thoroughly cleaned. Through all of this, Nash remained calm and seemed genuinely happy ...

See-Nin (aka “Batman”) arrived at the shelter from a nearby temple in a sorry state with muscle atrophy to his back legs, a broken hip and a spinal injury. It has been a long road with See-Nin to get him to trust people and get along with other dogs, but he is now an energetic boy who loves his walks, however he is often reluctant to go past the clinic as he is more than aware that’s where the vets work. He loves when volunteers visit as licking them is one of his favourite things to do.

Melody is a little girl of approximately 10 years old, who was brought to the shelter by her owners who live in the local area. They had tried taking her to a local vet but couldn’t afford the high costs of her treatment and so they asked Soi Dog to help.

Poor Jiminy Is Finally Getting The Treatment He Needs

Jiminy came to the shelter with very bad skin problems. His owners live here in Phuket but have gone away for the recent Songkran (Thai New Year) holiday. His skin has been getting progressively worse from when he was first spotted by Soi Dog and although the owners had been advised to take him to a vet, they had not done so. They have now been told that he is with us, where he will get the treatment he needs.
