Meet the Survivors: Miracle 🌟 Though we are entering a new dawn in our fight against the dog and cat meat trade, it’s important to look back at the amazing feats that have already been achieved. 24th Jun 2022, by Soi Dog Foundation

It’s a beautiful day to adopt a dog like Belyo, our 🌟Dog of the Week🌟 https://links.soidog.org/dog-of-the-week-belyo This petite young brindle boy was brought to Soi Dog as a puppy to be neutered when our vets noticed he had some telltale symptoms of canine coronavirus and canine distemper – two diseases which can be deadly, particularly in unvaccinated pups. He was kept at the shelter for treatment, and fortunately he made it through. Belyo was always a bashful puppy, and that shy...

23rd Jun 2022, by Soi Dog Foundation

Today, we'd like to share Zera's story with you. Your love and care saved her life. 🥰 One day, Zera was running alongside the road, playing a game when she was violently attacked. Someone slashed her body with a sharp object, intentionally wanting to hurt her. She wasn't doing anything wrong - just innocently playing. Sadly, this is the reality for many street dogs in Thailand. When Zera was first found, she was in so much pain. Barely even able to move. She was still in shock that someone ...

Meet Meggie, a six-year-old part bull-breed girl with expressive amber eyes that will melt your heart ❤ https://links.soidog.org/Meet-Meggie When Meggie came to Soi Dog to be spayed in 2021, our vets noticed her hind legs were weak. X-rays showed the cause was a bad fracture to her hip which needed surgery. Meggie is simply a beautiful girl. She's lovable and eager to get to know everyone, welcoming people who visit her enclosure with a friendly glance and her tongue hanging out. Meggie isn...

Hi, I’m Wanjeab, probably the most unique kitty you will see today! They say I'm quirky because my head bobs around when I walk, I don’t notice it, but the humans say it makes me special. Adrel spent the first five years of her life on the streets. When she was rescued in 2016, one of her hind legs was badly injured, and she had an abdominal hernia. The vets had no option but to amputate her leg at the same time as they repaired her hernia, but fortunately she recovered well and adjusted quickly to her new life as a three-legged dog. After nine months at the shelter, Adrel was adopted to Colorado, USA. It’s been five years since she joined her family, and her life has been ful...

What Really Happens At Cattery Feeding Time?
18th Jun 2022, by Soi Dog Foundation

Can you imagine sharing breakfast, lunch and dinner with 40 other people every day? It might sound strange to you, but communal meals are very much the norm in the Soi Dog cattery 🍽 There are around 150 cats in our cattery at any one time, split into groups of between 20 and 40. Though many of them lived alone or in small clowders when they were on the streets, somehow they make do with the shared lifestyle of the shelter. There are challenges, as you’ll see this week’s episode of #CatW...
