Nanachat lived on the streets of Phuket all his life until Soi Dog found him struggling and gave him a permanent home at the shelter. He was not eating well and his hair was also starting to fall out especially around his backside. Dr Su says his hair is unlikely to grow back. I am Kaleb. I am an older boy of about 10 years of age and I have been suffering for a long time. I came to Soi Dog covered in something called sarcoptic mange, a type of scabies caused by mites. This had been making me very itchy for the longest time. All my fur had gone and I felt so ugly and sad. I also had a nasty wound at the base of my tail. I was a very unhappy man.

NetAP - Network For Animal Protection

Do you remember the floods in Bangkok back in 2011? Soi Dog together with the help of our long-time partner NetAP was able to rescue thousands of animals in need at that time. NetAP sent 13 vets from Switzerland and Germany to Thailand to help the distressed animals.
Now there are floods in the region of the Balkans and again NetAP is helping the cats, dogs, cows, pigs and many other affected animals.

My name is Varee. I am a young, one year old girl who was brought to Soi Dog with a badly misshapen front leg. I was dragging the leg on the ground, completely unable to walk properly and in a lot of pain. When the vets took a look at my leg, they could see that I had a serious bone tumour. This had caused my leg to grow in such a deformed way I was no longer able to use it. It was already too late to save my leg and so the vets had no choice but to remove it.

Every now and again, a surprise gesture of kindness warms our hearts. Soi Dog Foundation had a visit the other day from a local Thai family. It was their second visit to our shelter and this time they came laden with food for all the dogs and cats in our care. Not only that, they threw in some lovely snacks for the humans too!
