I WANT TO SAVE ANOTHER DOG LIKE CHINGCHA 6th Jun 2014, by Soi Dog Foundation
My name is Chingcha and I am an older lady of about 10 years of age. I am a street dog of Thailand, which means I have no home, I have no owner. I was born on the streets and have never known any other way of life. It has always been this way.
For many years I got by. I succeeded in finding food by scavenging through the trash or occasionally being fed by kind strangers. I stayed out of trouble and managed to avoid being hit by a car, unlike many other street dogs. As you get older though, life...

CLICK HERE TO SPONSOR LUCY 6th Jun 2014, by Soi Dog Foundation
Four years ago Lucy was found in the Laguna area of Phuket. A German man found her on the street and brought her to the Soi Dog shelter. She was just a few months old and absolutely terrified! Lucy has been frightened of people her entire life, but we don't know why. Probably as a result of terrible trauma/abuse when she was very young, something she's sadly never forgotten.
Despite concerted efforts to socialise Lucy, she still remains very fearful of people; she runs away if you try to appr...

Updates On 6th Jun 2014 6th Jun 2014, by Soi Dog Foundation
On Sunday, June 2nd, a Soi Dog UK reunion was held in Wakefield, England. The event was a huge success, with adopters and their former “soi dogs” travelling from far and wide.
Many thanks go to Suzanne, Gale and all the Soi Dog volunteers for organising the day. Soi Dog founders John and Gill Dalley travelled from Thailand to attend the event and spoke about how great it was to meet the adopters and be reunited with so many former shelter dogs.
The dogs in attendance ranged from Glory, w...

Click Here To Join Shiver's Puppy Care Club 6th Jun 2014, by Soi Dog Foundation
Want to help the orphaned, neglected and abused puppies of Thailand?
You can do so by joining Shiver’s Puppy Care Club.
Soi Dog picks up many young puppies every week. Most have been abandoned on roadsides or dumped and left to die. Unfortunately only the lucky ones are found and given a second chance. Sadly these very young puppies have often been separated from their mothers and have very little resistance to disease. Due to the vulnerability of tiny puppies, sadly some do not survive. You...

Please Click Here And Help Another Dog Like Avici 6th Jun 2014, by Soi Dog Foundation
My name is Avici and I am an old boy, almost 12 years old now. My life here on the island of Phuket in Thailand has been lived on the streets. It has been a tough life – fighting to survive since the day I was born, scavenging for food and trying to find a safe place to sleep at night. I have never had an owner or felt the love of a human. Until now.
I was brought to Soi Dog with chronic skin problems. The vets examined me and saw that I had something called hyper-pigmentation, along with al...

FOR ALL ENQUIRIES PLEASE CLICK HERE 6th Jun 2014, by Soi Dog Foundation
Life as a street cat in Thailand can be so frightening. Every day is a fight to survive: trying to find food, trying to avoid aggressive dogs, trying to find shade from blazing sunshine or shelter from torrential downpours. This is the life of the average street cat, but I am not average. My name is Dash and I am blind.
FOR ALL QUESTIONS ABOUT ME OR TO ADOPT ME, PLEASE EMAIL cristy@soidog.org
My life as a blind cat roaming the dark streets of Thailand was terrifying enough and I didn’t think...

Sometimes a picture really can speak a thousand words.
Soi Dog founder Gill Dalley rescued Cristy when she found her abused, starving and neglected on the streets of Thailand. Following treatment at Soi Dog, Cristy’s life was turned around when she was adopted to England.
One year on and Cristy and Gill were reunited at the Soi Dog UK reunion held in England last Sunday.
This was a beautiful moment for both Cristy and Momma Gill, as this powerful photo shows.

I was brought to Soi Dog and after a lot of care from the staff and vets I eventually recovered. I still walk a little bit funny, but I don’t let that stop me getting around.
I dream of a home to cal...

Please Click Here To Help Dogs Like Arctic 5th Jun 2014, by Soi Dog Foundation
I am a one year old Husky. We were originally bred to pull sleds through the snow of cold, northern hemisphere countries. My coat is thicker than most other dog breeds, designed to protect me from severe winter temperatures. And yet, thanks to the growth of disreputable breeders and puppy farms, I was born into the unbearable tropical humidity of Thailand. My name is Arctic.
I was found one morning, dumped outside the gates of the Soi Dog shelter. Animal Rescue Officer Khun Nok took me in. Lat...

YES I WANT TO HELP A DOG LIKE NENA TODAY 5th Jun 2014, by Soi Dog Foundation
I am Nena. I am only about one year old and already, I have experienced so much pain. I have never had a human to take care of me; I was a street dog taking care of myself. It is not easy; there are so many things that can go wrong. In my case, I was hit by a car.
I still remember the pain and how frightened I was right at that moment. I lay by the side of the road wondering if my short life was over already. The pain in my front leg was so bad I knew I couldn’t stand up. I went in to shock a...

PLEASE CLICK HERE TO HELP ANOTHER DOG LIKE LENON 4th Jun 2014, by Soi Dog Foundation
I am a 5 year old boy and my name is Lenon. I have lived on the streets all my life, with nobody to look after me. I am just one of thousands of dogs in this situation, here in Thailand. We are born on the streets and more often than not, we will live our whole lives there.
In my case, I got hurt. I somehow ended up with a very bad wound on my paw. I don’t know how I got it in the first place, but tropical climates like ours mean things get infected very quickly. The pain was unbearable and ...
