Click Here To Help Another Animal In Distress Today 8th Jun 2014, by Soi Dog Foundation
We are Veni and Vidi, a little boy and girl, just over 3 months old. We came to the shelter with our mother Vita, who was struggling to care for us. She was overcome with terrible skin problems and had lost all her fur. We started to develop the same skin problems as her and all our fur started to fall out too. We were the saddest little family.
Since being at the Soi Dog shelter, everything has changed – for all of us. Our mother was given a quiet space where she could look after us and she ...

Click Here To Save Another Street Dog In Distress 7th Jun 2014, by Soi Dog Foundation
I am Ting. I am a young boy, only about 8 months of age, but I have already been through so much. Life can treat you badly when you are a street dog with no home of your own. You have no human to cuddle you and say that you are loved; you have nobody to feed you and make sure you are okay. Survival is down to you and not all of us make it.
I came to Soi Dog after being hit by a car. I was in a terrible amount of pain, with some very bad injuries. I had fractures near my hip and the upper part o...

Please Click Here And Help Us Save Another Dog Like Lexa 7th Jun 2014, by Soi Dog Foundation
I am Lexa, an 8 year old lady. I am a Thai street dog and I have been suffering for some time. I know my skin doesn’t look very good right now but I hope you can see by my face the beautiful dog I once was.
I came to the shelter after Soi Dog received a call from a local person who was worried about me. Animal Rescue Officer Khun Jaroon raced to pick me up and took me back to the shelter, where the vets examined me.
I heard them say I had so many problems. I was suffering from demodex, a ho...

Please Click Here To Save The Next Animal In Distress 7th Jun 2014, by Soi Dog Foundation
My name is Kenia. I am a one year old girl and have been in severe pain for most of that year. Being born on the streets of Phuket, Thailand meant I have never had a home of my own or a human who loved me. Whether I lived or died was up to me and every day was a battle to survive. I don’t know what I did wrong, but one day somebody put a rubber band around my neck.
I was a lot smaller when this happened but as the months went by and I grew bigger, that rubber band got tighter and tighter. It ...

Please Click Here To Help Another Pup Like Jomel 6th Jun 2014, by Soi Dog Foundation
I am Jomel, a little four month old boy. My life has been a short one to date and yet I have already experienced more suffering than any dog should in a lifetime. Born on the streets of Phuket, with no home of my own and no owner to care for me, I have known nothing but misery.
Soi Dog found me when I was brought to a mobile clinic with horrendous skin problems. I found out I had something called sarcoptic mange. This had caused my beautiful fur to fall out or go crusty. I was itching consta...

I WANT TO SAVE ANOTHER DOG LIKE CHINGCHA 6th Jun 2014, by Soi Dog Foundation
My name is Chingcha and I am an older lady of about 10 years of age. I am a street dog of Thailand, which means I have no home, I have no owner. I was born on the streets and have never known any other way of life. It has always been this way.
For many years I got by. I succeeded in finding food by scavenging through the trash or occasionally being fed by kind strangers. I stayed out of trouble and managed to avoid being hit by a car, unlike many other street dogs. As you get older though, life...

CLICK HERE TO SPONSOR LUCY 6th Jun 2014, by Soi Dog Foundation
Four years ago Lucy was found in the Laguna area of Phuket. A German man found her on the street and brought her to the Soi Dog shelter. She was just a few months old and absolutely terrified! Lucy has been frightened of people her entire life, but we don't know why. Probably as a result of terrible trauma/abuse when she was very young, something she's sadly never forgotten.
Despite concerted efforts to socialise Lucy, she still remains very fearful of people; she runs away if you try to appr...

On Sunday, June 2nd, a Soi Dog UK reunion was held in Wakefield, England. The event was a huge success, with adopters and their former “soi dogs” travelling from far and wide.
Many thanks go to Suzanne, Gale and all the Soi Dog volunteers for organising the day. Soi Dog founders John and Gill Dalley travelled from Thailand to attend the event and spoke about how great it was to meet the adopters and be reunited with so many former shelter dogs.
The dogs in attendance ranged from Glory, w...

Click Here To Join Shiver's Puppy Care Club 6th Jun 2014, by Soi Dog Foundation
Want to help the orphaned, neglected and abused puppies of Thailand?
You can do so by joining Shiver’s Puppy Care Club.
Soi Dog picks up many young puppies every week. Most have been abandoned on roadsides or dumped and left to die. Unfortunately only the lucky ones are found and given a second chance. Sadly these very young puppies have often been separated from their mothers and have very little resistance to disease. Due to the vulnerability of tiny puppies, sadly some do not survive. You...

Please Click Here And Help Another Dog Like Avici 6th Jun 2014, by Soi Dog Foundation
My name is Avici and I am an old boy, almost 12 years old now. My life here on the island of Phuket in Thailand has been lived on the streets. It has been a tough life – fighting to survive since the day I was born, scavenging for food and trying to find a safe place to sleep at night. I have never had an owner or felt the love of a human. Until now.
I was brought to Soi Dog with chronic skin problems. The vets examined me and saw that I had something called hyper-pigmentation, along with al...

Life as a street cat in Thailand can be so frightening. Every day is a fight to survive: trying to find food, trying to avoid aggressive dogs, trying to find shade from blazing sunshine or shelter from torrential downpours. This is the life of the average street cat, but I am not average. My name is Dash and I am blind.
FOR ALL QUESTIONS ABOUT ME OR TO ADOPT ME, PLEASE EMAIL cristy@soidog.org
My life as a blind cat roaming the dark streets of Thailand was terrifying enough and I didn’t think...

Sometimes a picture really can speak a thousand words.
Soi Dog founder Gill Dalley rescued Cristy when she found her abused, starving and neglected on the streets of Thailand. Following treatment at Soi Dog, Cristy’s life was turned around when she was adopted to England.
One year on and Cristy and Gill were reunited at the Soi Dog UK reunion held in England last Sunday.
This was a beautiful moment for both Cristy and Momma Gill, as this powerful photo shows.
