“I am a 4 year old boy, rescued from a terrifying situation and agonising pain. I have lived all my life on the street; it was the only home I’ve ever known. I was managing to get by and look after myself, but everything changed the day I strayed into a market and had burning hot oil dumped over my back. My name is Khaofang.
I wish I could explain to you the pain I went through. The boiling oil tore through my flesh and all I could do was scream in agony. I was so terrified, I wanted to die...

Life as a street cat in Thailand can be so frightening. Every day is a fight to survive: trying to find food, trying to avoid aggressive dogs, trying to find shade from blazing sunshine or shelter from torrential downpours. This is the life of the average street cat, but I am not average.
My name is Dash and I am nearly blind and have FeLV.
My life as a blind cat roaming the dark streets of...

CAN YOU HELP A SUFFERING STREET DOG? PLEASE CLICK HERE 22nd Jun 2014, by Soi Dog Foundation
We are two little 10 month old sisters who have suffered so much in our short lives. Born onto the streets of Thailand, with no home to call our own and no owner to love and care for us, we were left to fend for ourselves. We didn’t manage very well. Our names are Swirly and Sweepy and this is our story.
We were in a very bad way when we were picked up and brought to a mobile clinic. Both of us had something called demodetic mange and we were suffering a lot. We had lost our fur and we were f...

PLEASE CLICK HERE TO SPONSOR RONNAPEE 22nd Jun 2014, by Soi Dog Foundation
An elderly lady found Ronnapee in the south of Phuket. Poor Ronnapee was suffering from severe mange and malnutrition. When the lady first saw Ronnapee lying in a gutter, she assumed he was dead but then spotted signs of life.
Neighbours called Soi Dog and Animal Rescue Officer Khun Thep picked him up shortly thereafter. Ronnapee has now responded well to treatment and is much happier than when found by the side of the road!
Dogs like Ronnapee underscore the importance of Soi Dog’s Sponsor...

Hello, do you remember us? We are Latif, Lenka, Livia and Lasaro! You might not recognise us because of how big we have grown. We were found all alone, dumped behind a local hospital. We had no mother with us and we were in serious danger of dying.
A local person who found us tried desperately to find our mother and when she couldn’t, she tried to feed us. She didn’t want to remove us from the area in case our mother came back looking for us – but she never did. We were probably taken fr...

I am a 5 year old boy named Willy and I would like to tell you my story. I came to Soi Dog from the only home I’ve ever known: the street. For a long time, I have been in pain but there was nobody to help me. I had a nasty wound on my back and it had been there so long it became very badly infected.
A local lady who found me was very worried and immediately contacted Soi Dog. Animal Rescue Officer Khun Jaroon raced to get me. When I arrived at the shelter, the vets could see that my wound wa...

I have been through so much. My loving family is now a very distant memory and so are those days when I had everything I ever wanted.
Grabbed one day when I was walking on the street, stuffed into a cage barely able to breathe. I was very frightened and many of the other dogs cried in terror as we journeyed towards the border on a truck filled with ...

CAN YOU SAVE ANOTHER DOG LIKE CONGATE? PLEASE CLICK HERE TO DONATE 21st Jun 2014, by Soi Dog Foundation
My name is Congate. I am a boy of about 8 years of age and I have been alone all my life, living on the streets of Phuket, Thailand. I’ve never had a home of my own or known the loving touch of a human, but that all changed the day Soi Dog found me.
I was picked up by Animal Rescue Officer Khun Sanae when he saw what terrible condition I was in. I had an open wound near my bum and my once beautiful fur was matted and filthy dirty. I was such a sad little man. Sanae rushed me to the shelter an...

Hello, my name is Malaki. I am an older boy of about 10 years of age. Born a street dog, I have lived all my life without an owner to take care of me. I could get by a lot easier when I was younger but it does get more difficult when you become an old boy like me.
There was a very kind man who lived near my territory and he always came to check on me and gave me something to eat. I don’t know what I would have done without this man but one day, he told me he was moving away. He explained tha...

Shiver's Puppy Care Club Helps Another Little Soul... 21st Jun 2014, by Soi Dog Foundation
Soi Dog picks up many young puppies every week. Most have been abandoned on roadsides or dumped and left to die. Unfortunately only the lucky ones are found and given a second chance.
Sadly these very young puppies have often been separated from their mothers and have very little resistance to disease. Due to the vulnerability of tiny puppies, some do not survive. You can help give these young puppies a chance at life by joining Shiver’s Puppy Care Club.
Please watch this video and if you c...
