Our heartfelt thanks to US supporter Andrea Williams and her family and friends! Andrea recently celebrated her 40th birthday and wanted to have a celebration with a difference. She decided to fundraise for Soi Dog and started in April by contacting friends and family to spread the word.
The fundraising culminated with Andrea’s birthday celebrations at the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place in Chicago and the final amount raised was an incredible $9,150! This will do so much for the dogs and cats ...

I am a 7 year old boy called Martian. My whole life has been lived on the streets, with nowhere to call home and no owner to care for me.
I was managing to get by, until the day I was attacked by another dog and left with a very bad wound on my back. As I had no human to take me to the vet, the wound became seriously infected and before long, was infested with maggots.

The public awareness billboards against the illegal dog meat trade are working! Concerned citizens continue to call the advertised hotline number to report dog trafficking activity.
As a result of one billboard, 22 dogs were saved from torture and slaughter. As a result of another, 10 illegal dog butchers, fearing arrest, shut down their shops voluntarily.
Much progress is being made but we must keep the pressure on.

Planning a trip to Thailand and a visit to Soi Dog? Soi Dog welcomes visitors and our shelter is open Monday to Friday, 9.00am to midday and again from 1.00pm to 5.00pm.
Guided tours are provided 3 times a day: 9.30am, 11.00am and the last one at 1.30pm. Do ensure you arrive in advance of one of these times and you will be given a tour of our shelter and get to meet many of the animals in our care.

I am a 5 year old girl, a street dog of Thailand. This means I have never had an owner or a place to call home. All alone and suffering from cancer, I had nobody to help me. My name is Taraji.

I am a little boy called Azaria. No longer wanted by my owner, I was suddenly thrown out on the street one day. I ran around desperately trying to find my owner and when I ran into traffic, I was hit by a car.
