I have lived nearly all my life at the Soi Dog shelter in Phuket and even though I am fed everyday and sometimes get walked by the nice volunteers, I do wish I had my own home. I am a 10 year old boy called Aubrey.
You might not have street dogs like me in your country, but here in Thailand, I am one of many. We are born on the streets; we are not owned, and most of us will live our whole lives like this.

Our Care for Cats Club exists to care for and treat thousands of cats each year. Our cat hospital is the finest in Asia and houses many abandoned kittens and cruelty cases prior to adoption.
Soi Dog also supplies cat food to many temples and has sterilized over 12,000 cats, preventing literally tens of thousands of unwanted kittens dying of starvation and disease.

I was abandoned at the side of the road one day. I have no idea what I did to deserve this. While I was looking for food I was been hit by a car and my jaw was broken. It was really painful and no one helped me. It fixed itself, but it is a little bit wonky now.

Planning a trip to Thailand and a visit to Soi Dog? Soi Dog welcomes visitors and our shelter is open Monday to Friday, 9.00am to midday and again from 1.00pm to 5.00pm.
Guided tours happen 3 times a day: 9.30am, 11.00am and the last one at 1.30pm. Do ensure you arrive in advance of one of these times and you will be given a tour of our shelter and get to meet many of the animals in our care.

A massive thank you to supporters Janis Rosenthal and Jeff Rinkoff, from Oregon in the US, who held a great 4th of July fundraiser for Soi Dog!
The 4th of July town parade goes right by Janis and Jeff’s house and they saw this as the perfect opportunity to raise funds and awareness of the issues facing the street dogs of Thailand.
