Planning a trip to Thailand and a visit to Soi Dog? Soi Dog welcomes visitors and our shelter is open Monday to Friday, 9.00am to midday and again from 1.00pm to 5.00pm.
Guided tours happen 3 times a day: 9.30am, 11.00am and the last one at 1.30pm. Do ensure you arrive in advance of one of these times and you will be given a tour of our shelter and get to meet many of the animals in our care.

My name is Vita. Vita means life and that’s what Soi Dog supporters have given me.
Rescued from the streets with a horrendous case of sarcoptic mange and a fungal skin infection, I was desperately ill. Frighteningly skinny and weak, I had lost all my once beautiful fur.

Lucy was found on the street by a man who brought her to the Soi Dog shelter. She was just a few months old and absolutely terrified.
Lucy has been frightened of people her entire life, but we don't know why. Probably as a result of terrible trauma or abuse when she was very young, something she's sadly never forgotten.

DOG MEAT SHOP RAIDED – 6 DOGS SAVED IN THE NICK OF TIME…
In the last few days, our undercover investigators Watchdog Thailand received a phone call from a concerned local in Chiangrai, northern Thailand.
The person in question wished to report the existence of a dog meat shop with a number of dogs tied up in the backyard.
With assistance from the Royal Thai Army and the Royal Thai Police, the shop was raided and the owner arrested.

Our Care for Cats Club exists to care for and treat thousands of cats each year. Our cat hospital is the finest in Asia and houses many abandoned kittens and cruelty cases prior to adoption.
Soi Dog also supplies cat food to many temples and has sterilised over 12,000 cats, preventing literally tens of thousands of unwanted kittens dying of starvation and disease.

Life-saving treatment for Carlos was only made possible by the Soi Dog supporters who have joined the Emergency Response Team.
Soi Dog receives no government funding and would be powerless without these supporters. Simply put, many dogs and cats would die.
