Poor Shakey Joy was dumped over the fence of the clinic in 2005 and has lived at our shelter ever since. She has obvious signs of having suffered from distemper at some point, which has left her with a permanent shake.
Shakey Joy is now getting on a bit and lives in the Old Age Run where she spends a lot of her time sleeping on the sala overlooking the lake, and loves going for walks and having cuddles with volunteers.

Planning a trip to Thailand and a visit to Soi Dog? Soi Dog welcomes visitors and our shelter is open Monday to Friday, 9.00am to midday and again from 1.00pm to 5.00pm.
Guided tours happen 3 times a day: 9.30am, 11.00am and the last one at 1.30pm. Do ensure you arrive in advance of one of these times and you will be given a tour of our shelter and get to meet many of the animals in our care.

Raymond came to the shelter from a resort in the tourist area of Patong with a big wound on his head that was covered in maggots.
Although Raymond is estimated to only be around four years of age, it is most likely he is also completely blind, although there may be a very small level of sight left.
