14th Sep 2014, by Soi Dog Foundation

Soi Dog often receives messages from supporters asking how they can help. One of the most effective ways people can help the neglected and abused animals in Soi Dog's care is through peer to peer fund raising. We have set up a profile on the website Razoo whereby you can set up your own fund raising page and through it encourage your friends and family to support your fund raising effort. There are so many ways to fundraise – you could run a marathon or participate in a fun run, you could ho...

Only YOU Can Save Street Dogs Like Nikku. Please CLICK HERE To Find Out More.
14th Sep 2014, by Soi Dog Foundation

I will never forget the pain of that day. As a street dog with no owner to care for me, survival was down to me alone. It had always been that way. While running around scavenging for food one day, my foot was caught in a wild boar trap. It pierced through my flesh and ripped my foot apart. I howled in agony but it made no difference. There was nobody to help me. My name is Nikku; I am 2 years old. I have never been so scared. I can no longer remember how long I’d been lying there, alone...

My name is CINDERS - Please Adopt Me! Email deb@soidog.org for all adoption enquiries. Hello, my name is Cinders and I have been at Soi Dog in Phuket nearly all my life. I am just over one year now. I was a very frightened kitten when I arrived and would not let anybody come near me, but I soon came out of my shell and I love people now and I get along well with other cats. I am cheeky and affectionate and will tell you when it’s time to give me a cuddle. After being in the shelter for...

Only YOU Can Give Street Dogs Like Hank A Second Chance At Life. Please CLICK HERE To Find Out How.
13th Sep 2014, by Soi Dog Foundation

Meet Hank. We estimate Hank to be about a year and a half old. He has grown up on the streets, like millions of other dogs here in Thailand. Life on the streets means they’ve never had anyone to care for them. They rely on the kindness of strangers for food and get by on scraps from the restaurants around their territory. Most are born into this way of life and it’s the only one they’ve ever known. They are happy and free, but when they get sick, they need help. Hank was picked up by o...

I am a survivor. My name is Goldy. Please ADOPT me. I was meant to be eaten. Boiled and skinned alive first. Email cristy@soidog.org to ADOPT me. But I am here. I was rescued by Soi Dog Foundation. I did not endure this painful ending which thousands of dogs already have. If you know anything about this illegal and brutal trade you will know that I was stolen and crammed into a metal cage with many other dogs – often many of us couldn’t breathe. We were in these conditions for days with ...

Soi Dog treats and sterilises over 1,000 dogs and cats each month. In 2013, we sterilised more than 13,000 animals and are on track to sterilise 20,000 this year. Each sterilisation costs us approximately US$20, meaning Soi Dog will spend $400,000 this year. Many of the dogs and cats we pick up also require lifesaving, emergency treatment. The average cost of treating the cases we see is US$30 per animal, or approximately US$40,000 a year. Without regular donations from kind-hearted S...

Please CLICK HERE For More Information On Our Puppy Care Club.
13th Sep 2014, by Soi Dog Foundation

Soi Dog picks up many young puppies every week. Most have been abandoned on roadsides, dumped and left to die. This was the case with Latif, Lenka, Livia and Lasaro. A Thai lady found this little family abandoned behind a local hospital. The lady kept watch for hours on end, waiting for the mother to appear. She never did. These babies had no doubt been removed from their mother and abandoned. They would never have survived if this lady had not found them and called us. We were only able to...

I get picked on wherever I go – I am timid around lots of other dogs. People however I really like, and I love getting out of the run and going for a walk with the v...

12th Sep 2014, by Soi Dog Foundation

Born on the street, with no owner to care for me, I am a beautiful four year old girl called Aylin. I was brought to the Soi Dog shelter when a man called Khun Sanae spotted me one day. Khun Sanae is an Animal Rescue Officer with Soi Dog and he promised he would take me somewhere safe. He put me in his truck and drove me to the Soi Dog shelter, where the...
