Email cristy@soidog.org to ADOPT me.
Taken away from my family and crushed into a cage with many other dogs and driven away on a truck to cross the border. I could not understand why I was in this cage and why these people were doing this to me.
I am bigger than a normal sized dog and it hurt being in the metal cage with other dogs. Where were these people taking me? I...

Nanachat lived on the streets of Phuket all his life until Soi Dog found him struggling and gave him a permanent home at the shelter.
He was not eating well and his hair was also starting to fall out especially around his backside. Dr Su says his hair is unlikely to grow back.
At the shelter he has friends to play with, regular meals and vets to keep him healthy.
He loves to lie on his bamboo sala in the hot afternoons with his friends. He also has a habit of barking for attention from our...

Pingkan aka SMOKEY
My names is SMOKEY - Please adopt me
Email deb@soidog.org to adopt me.
I am 3 and half years old and I was dumped at the gates of Soi Dog Shelter here on Phuket, Thailand with my 5 kittens. They were so tiny and no one wanted us.
A member of staff found us as they were leaving work and brought us all straight in to see the vets. We were lucky. We had medical care, food, water and shelter. I was able to look after my babies in safety.
All of my kittens have been adopte...

My name is LAITTE - PLEASE ADOPT ME!
Email deb@soidog.org to ADOPT me.
My name is Laitte and I'm 8 years old. I came to the shelter 7 years ago - it was so long ago nobody really knows why I came here.
I also don't know why I've been at the shelter for so long, as everyone who meets me says that I'm a really sweet girl.
Even though I'm 8 years old I have lots of energy. When the volunteer takes me for a walk we often have a little run, but first they give me time to sniff everything whic...

My name is Puddleby. Please ADOPT me. Email cristy@soidog.org.
It was a day I can ever forget. It started off well but then my siblings and I were all put into a big metal box that moved and than dumped in a cold drain left to fend for ourselves. Cold and starving Soi Dog found us and bought us to the shelter. Not a great way to start out life but I am grateful we didn’t starve to death on the streets of Phuket.
There are many dogs abandoned I have been told and only due to the great work t...

Updates On 6th Sep 2014 6th Sep 2014, by Soi Dog Foundation
When authorities wanted to remove a group of temple dogs in Ayuddhya (about an hour outside Bangkok), the local Thai people got together to save these dogs.
They appealed to the authorities to let the dogs stay if they arranged to have them sterilised and the authorities listened and relented.
Sterilisation of the dogs was carried out at a mobile clinic held by Soi Dog Foundation, ensuring these animals can continue to live happily and safely in their territory.
A happy ending thanks to peop...

Rescued from the Dog Meat Trade but where to now?
Email cristy@soidog.org to ADOPT me.
I have been through an absolutely horrific time. Stolen from my happy life and ripped away from my family and friends. I don’t want to remember what happened to me when those horrible men caught me. I was locked in a cage with many other dogs crying in pain. How could these people be so cruel? All I had ever known was love and affection.
I couldn’t even breathe properly there were so many of us in one...

Please CLICK HERE To Adopt Lotto 6th Sep 2014, by Soi Dog Foundation
My name is Lotto. Email cristy@soidog.org to ADOPT me.
Nearly 50% of my adoption costs to the UK already paid.
I was stolen for the illegal Dog Meat Trade in Thailand. Destined to be boiled alive for my meat I have managed to escape a slow painful death.
Can you imagine being crammed into a cage so small and already full of dogs to be transported on a truck with no shade and no water? The conditions were horrendous but somehow some of us survived this brutal journey. I couldn’t even breathe...
