Many of these dogs and cats require lifesaving, emergency treatment.
Without regular donations from kind-hearted Soi Dog supporters, none of these animals could be helped. These supporters are our Emergency Response Team.
You may not be in Thailand, but you can still save critically injured dogs and cats by becoming a member of Soi Dog's Emergency Response Team.

I was such a confused little girl. All my fur was falling out in patches, my skin was crusty and sore and I was constantly itching and scratching.
With nobody to help me, all I could do was lie by the side of the road and cry. My name is Nippy and I am only 5 months old.

As of August 2014, Soi Dog Foundation has reached a milestone of over 71,000 dogs and cats sterilised since our spay/neuter programme began. This has had a significant and positive impact that is obvious on the streets.
In addition to our work here on the island of Phuket, we are frequently called upon to run mobile sterilisation clinics elsewhere in the country.

I am a frightened little boy called Hopia, hit by a car when I ran into the road without looking. I am not yet smart like the bigger stray dogs; I am only 4 months old. I had so much to learn about life on the streets.

Soi Dog treats and sterilises over 1,000 dogs and cats each month. In 2013, we sterilised more than 13,000 animals and are on track to sterilise 20,000 this year.
Each sterilisation costs us approximately US$20, meaning Soi Dog will spend $400,000 this year.
Many of the dogs and cats we pick up also require lifesaving, emergency treatment. The average cost of treating the cases we see is US$30 per animal, or approximately US$40,000 a year.

Planning a trip to Thailand and a visit to Soi Dog? Soi Dog welcomes visitors and our shelter is open Monday to Friday, 9.00am to midday and again from 1.00pm to 5.00pm.
Guided tours happen 3 times a day: 9.30am, 11.00am and the last one at 1.30pm. Do ensure you arrive in advance of one of these times and you will be given a tour of our shelter and get to meet many of the animals in our care.

A few months ago, you contacted us in your hundreds about the Phuket dog abandoned by the side of the road, who waited two months for her owners to return.
Dunk Dunk was one Thai street dog who became an online sensation overnight.
Following her rescue, Dunk Dunk was adopted by a lovely woman from Bangkok, who has sent us this video update.

SLAUGHTER HOUSE RAIDED OCTOBER 1st! ANOTHER BARBARIC DOG BUTCHER SHUT DOWN!
A raid on a dog butcher's premises was conducted by our undercover agents at approximately 11.00am on October 1st in the Sakhon Nakhon area of north-eastern Thailand.
25kgs of dog meat was seized as evidence, the shop was shut down and the owner arrested and charged.

Saratosa arrived at our shelter in utter despair.
He had lost so much of his fur and was covered in ticks. The skin on his face and his paws had become thickened and calloused and he was suffering from a severe case of demodectic mange.
