SOI DOG FOUNDATION SPONSORSHIP MONTH - Meet Edie! My name is Edie. I was dumped near the Soi Dog shelter about 3 years ago, when I was only a small puppy. I am not sure why I was dumped, I wasn’t being naughty. Luckily for me, the kind people at Soi Dog offered me a safe place to live. I am a happy boy who loves when volunteers come to visit. It makes me wag my tail in excitement! I also love sitting on the sala and watching what is happening around the shelter. Please click on my photo to...

Please DONATE To Help Stray Dogs Like Hopia Today.
4th Oct 2014, by Soi Dog Foundation

I am a frightened little boy called Hopia, hit by a car when I ran into the road without looking. I am not yet smart like the bigger stray dogs; I am only 4 months old. I had so much to learn about life on the streets. The accident left me with many deep wounds on my tail, my back legs and back paws. Some of my muscles and tendons were exposed and I was covered in a horrific rash from being dragged along the road. It was a kind local man who found me. He is one of the people who regularly fee...

My name is AL - PLEASE ADOPT ME! Email deb@soidog.org to ADOPT me. I am 2 years old and I have been here at the shelter in Phuket, Thailand, since I was a few days old. I have no idea what I did wrong when I was dumped in a cardboard box along with my 7 brothers and sisters outside the entrance of Soi Dog. We didn't know where our mum was and we were so ill. A very kind lady hand fed us all every few hours for weeks. I am so grateful to her; if Soi Dog hadn't helped us - we all would have d...

Soi Dog treats and sterilises over 1,000 dogs and cats each month. In 2013, we sterilised more than 13,000 animals and are on track to sterilise 20,000 this year. Each sterilisation costs us approximately US$20, meaning Soi Dog will spend $400,000 this year. Many of the dogs and cats we pick up also require lifesaving, emergency treatment. The average cost of treating the cases we see is US$30 per animal, or approximately US$40,000 a year. Without regular donations from kind-hearted Soi D...

It hurt to eat. I was so hungry and yet, every time I tried to swallow some food, the pain was unbearable. I was coughing all the time and quickly became very weak. My name is Plumeria; a 3 year old stray dog who has grown up on the streets of Phuket, Thailand. I am one of many. A kind local person who fed me regularly became very concerned about me and drove me to the Soi Dog shelter, where Dr. Jennifer took over. I am being treated now for tonsillitis, heartworm and something called anap...
