Each year, Soi Dog cares for, sterilises and treats thousands of cats.
Without veterinary treatment, these cats would have been left to suffer from disease, malnutrition and injuries caused by road accidents or cruelty. Most would have died agonising deaths.

Planning a trip to Thailand and a visit to Soi Dog? Soi Dog welcomes visitors and our shelter is open Monday to Friday, 9.00am to midday and again from 1.00pm to 3.30pm.
Guided tours happen 3 times a day: 9.30am, 11.00am and the last one at 1.30pm. Do ensure you arrive in advance of one of these times and you will be given a tour of our shelter and get to meet many of the animals in our care.

I am a stray dog called Cerberus, a one year old boy who arrived at the Soi Dog shelter having been viciously attacked by another dog. I never did anything wrong; I don’t know why he didn’t like me.
One of the nice local people who always brought me food ran to call Soi Dog and I was picked up soon after by Animal Rescue Officer Khun Sanae. Dr. Frank cleaned out my wound and has been looking after me every day to make sure I heal well.

The programme is now available on You Tube for the rest of the world to watch and see the reality of Vietnam's dog meat trade.
