I am a 9 year old boy who arrived at the Soi Dog shelter with tumours all over my body. I had to have surgery to remove them but when I was sent first for an x-ray, the shocking truth was revealed...
Inside my body were some strange little objects. When they were removed, the vets realised they were airgun pellets. At some point in my life, I had been tied up and used for target practice.

Arabica is a beautiful girl whose condition tells a harsh story of life on the streets. She arrived at the Soi Dog shelter with severe fur loss and bald patches all over her body.

Emi was found on a deserted stretch of beach, lying on top of a plastic bag. Inside the bag lay her brother Yumi.
They had been dumped on that lonely beach and left to die. They were just one week old.
We were only able to help them – and the countless other dogs and cats we pick up – thanks to a group of Soi Dog supporters known as the Emergency Response Team.

Rocky - Saved From The Illegal Dog Meat Trade And Now Adopted

My name is Rocky and I now live in Canada with Corey who adopted me. I was stolen for the illegal Dog Meat Trade and when I was found I had a broken jaw and was very sick.
Lucky for me Soi Dog Foundation rescued me and thanks to their help I am now happy. I love my new home and family so very much!

Planning a trip to Thailand and a visit to Soi Dog? Soi Dog welcomes visitors and our shelter is open Monday to Friday, 9.00am to midday and again from 1.00pm to 3.30pm.
Guided tours happen 3 times a day: 9.30am, 11.00am and the last one at 1.30pm. Do ensure you arrive in advance of one of these times and you will be given a tour of our shelter and get to meet many of the animals in our care.

This is Deacon. She is a young girl of about 2 years of age, picked up by one of our Animal Rescue Officers in the course of his duties.
The condition he found her in was heart-breaking - and she is just one of thousands of stray dogs on the island of Phuket alone. Many of them are seriously injured or desperately ill, just like Deacon.

When you are born a street cat, there is so much to learn about life. There is no human to keep you safe, no nice house to call home.

Soi Dog treats and sterilises over 1,000 dogs and cats each month.
Many of these dogs and cats require lifesaving, emergency treatment.
Without regular donations from kind-hearted Soi Dog supporters, none of these animals could be helped.
These supporters are our Emergency Response Team.
