I arrived at Soi Dog shelter in Phuket, Thailand when I was a year old. A family found me on the beach and wanted to adopt me. Soi Dog agreed to keep me safe until it was my time to leave. Soi Dog treats and sterilises over 1,000 dogs and cats each month. In 2013, we sterilised more than 13,000 animals and are on track to sterilise 20,000 this year.
Each sterilisation costs us approximately US$20, meaning Soi Dog will spend $400,000 this year.
Many of the dogs and cats we pick up also require lifesaving, emergency treatment. The average cost of treating the cases we see is US$30 per animal, or approximately US$40,000 a year.

She was unlucky enough to still be breathing when many around her had stopped. As the truck carrying Fleck and hundreds of other dogs continued its journey to hell, unimaginable torture lay ahead for her.
After being snatched from the street by barbaric dog smugglers, Fleck was destined to be skinned alive and butchered for her meat.

I am a 3 year old male and as you can see by my photo I was not in a good way when I was rescued by Soi Dog Foundation. I had a terrible head injury after being hit by a car and left for dead on the side of the road. My skin was terrible and no one wanted to come near me.
