Nicolet arrived at the Soi Dog shelter, Phuket, Thailand in May 2014. She had been in terrible accident which had left her with a nasty wound to her leg. The vets did everything they could to save her leg, but sadly in the end it had to be amputated.
Nicolet was adopted by Lynn from Canada in September 2014 after falling in love with her. Nicolet is now called Colette.
Huge thanks to everyone who helped Nicolet and to Lynn for giving her a lovely forever home.

Planning a trip to Thailand and a visit to Soi Dog? Soi Dog welcomes visitors and our shelter is open Monday to Friday, 9.00am to midday and again from 1.00pm to 3.30pm.
Please note the shelter is closed to visitors on Saturdays and Sundays and will be closed on January 1st.
Guided tours happen 3 times a day, Monday to Friday: 9.30am, 11.00am and the last one at 1.30pm. Do ensure you arrive in advance of one of these times and you will be given a tour of our shelter and get to meet many of t...

Tally is an older boy of about 10 years of age. He arrived at our shelter after being hit by a car near the airport. He was found by a kind person who noticed he was bleeding from the nose and raced him to our shelter.
Due to our small clinic not having an x-ray machine, Tally had to be sent off-site for this, and the results revealed the hard life he had lived on the streets. At some point, he had sustained a fracture to his lower jaw but this no longer causes him any pain.

Eugene arrived at the Soi Dog shelter, Phuket, Thailand in November 2013. It was feared that he had been dumped as no one could find his owner. He had cataracts on both eyes, an injury to his hind legs and he was depressed and frightened.
After months of hard work by the vets, he made a great recovery. Despite his limited vision he loved his walks with the volunteers. He came to recognize their voices and could be found waiting excitedly at the gate for his turn.

Soi Dog’s current clinic is small, noisy and cramped with no special place to keep critically ill dogs undergoing treatment.

Madonna came to Soi Dog shelter Phuket, Thailand in October 2013. She had a terrible skin problem and was not doing well at the temple where she was found.
Madonna is now called Maddi and living with Sue and her family in the UK. Maddi travelled to the UK with a flight volunteer Jess and arrived at the end of May this year.
Maddi settled in straight away and looks like she has always been there. Please enjoy the photos of her in her forever home.
