GOOD NEWS FOR WILDLIFE.
The notorious and controversial Tiger Temple in Kanchanaburi province, Thailand, has been raided by police and soldiers after inspectors were denied entry.
Hundreds of protected birds have been removed but unfortunately 2 Asiatic golden jackals which had been seen the day before had disappeared when the temple was raided.
The estimated 100 tigers remain on site but have been impounded by the authorities.

Planning a trip to Thailand and a visit to Soi Dog? Soi Dog welcomes visitors and our shelter is open Monday to Friday, 9.00am to midday and again from 1.00pm to 3.30pm.
Please note we are closed to visitors on Saturdays and Sundays.
Guided tours happen 3 times a day, Monday to Friday: 9.30am, 11.00am and the last one at 1.30pm. Do ensure you arrive in advance of one of these times and you will be given a tour of our shelter and get to meet many of the animals in our care.
