I was found on a deserted island just off Phuket, Thailand, very hungry and skinny. The Animal Rescue Officers from Soi Dog came to the island to help me and they had to dart me as I was so very scared.

Foster Is Only 3 Years Old. His Face And Body Tell The Tale Of A Hard Life On The Streets…
Foster arrived at our shelter in pitiful condition. His face and chest were covered in bald patches from where his fur had all fallen out. His body was full of itchy, weeping sores, and Foster was scratching incessantly.

Many thanks to all of you who have made generous donations to the new hospital at the Soi Dog shelter.
We’re so grateful that you have donated over $77,000 since our fundraising campaign began, and so pleased to report that construction has now commenced!
However, this is the most important construction project Soi Dog has ever undertaken and there is still a LONG WAY to go... With the new hospital costing $1 million, at least $250,000 is needed by the end of February to keep the dream alive...

Chong Arrived At Our Shelter With A Horrific, Mysterious Wound…
This handsome boy is about 8 years of age and was in a world of pain when picked up by one of our Animal Rescue Officers recently. Chong had a large, seriously infected wound on the back of his neck. The injury was extensive and infested with maggots.
We will never know how Chong sustained this injury. He was in serious agony when found and was at severe risk of septicaemia and a slow, agonising death. Thanks to our supporters...

Soi Dog Foundation is very pleased to announce its partnership with the Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe, USA, who will be helping re-home dogs rescued from the illegal dog meat trade.
Mable, Flame and Gypsy all travelled with a flight volunteer to San Francisco in January and Gypsy has already been adopted!

Planning a trip to Thailand and a visit to Soi Dog? Soi Dog welcomes visitors and our shelter is open Monday to Friday, 9.00am to midday and again from 1.00pm to 3.30pm.
Please note we are closed to visitors on Saturdays and Sundays.
Guided tours happen 3 times a day, Monday to Friday: 9.30am, 11.00am and the last one at 1.30pm. Do ensure you arrive in advance of one of these times and you will be given a tour of our shelter and get to meet many of the animals in our care.
