Soi Dog co-founder Gill Dalley was out on duty with our Animal Rescue Officers when she met an amazing human being.
Gill was accompanied by a camera man, filming a short programme for the BBC. Very high up in the jungle, they came across a Thai lady feeding stray dogs.
Animal Rescue Officer Sanae stopped to talk to her as she is one of his contacts who reports dogs and cats in need of sterilisation, or those who require medical treatment.

I arrived at the Soi Dog shelter a few years ago with my 4 babies. We had been dumped on the street and a bad man nearby was threatening to kill us. A kind person who wanted to protect us brought us to the shelter.
My puppies have been adopted but I am still very nervous of people. I will only allow certain long-term volunteers to stroke me.

I am just over 2 years old and came to Soi Dog after I was found limping and in pain at the side of the road. I had been hit by car which damaged my back legs and my pelvis. I have received intensive physiotherapy to help strengthen my muscles. I walk so much better now, but I do still limp and I sometimes cross my hind legs when I walk.

Stina was brought to our shelter as a young pup. She had been dumped by her owner and people in the area where she was found were planning to kill her as they didn't want her around.
Stina only spent 7 months at our shelter before being adopted by the wonderful Ulf and Lena in Sweden.
Recently arrived at her forever home, Stina is busy getting to grips with so many new experiences for a Thai street dog. Here she is getting her first taste of opera - we think she likes it!

Dreadlock had lived on the streets of Thailand all his life when he arrived at our shelter. He was suffering from terrible skin problems and had a matted, filthy coat.
Thanks to YOU, we were able to take this beautiful boy in and help him. He went on to spend over 4 years at our shelter before being adopted earlier this year by Susan in the UK.
