I am a survivor of the illegal dog meat trade….. My name is Dainty. I am a girl about 4 years old. Email cristy@soidog.org to ADOPT me. They snatched me from the street. They crushed me into a metal cage with ten other dogs. They hurled hundreds of these cages, all filled with petrified dogs, on to a big truck. We drove in the dead of night towards the border. I awoke to the rattling of cages and the truck stopping abruptly. All the cages were taken off and we were released and put int...

PLEASE DON’T TURN AWAY FROM DOGS LIKE ME I am Nalsa, a two year old girl, who was found with a shocking wound on my neck. It had clearly been there for some time, judging by the severe infection that had set in and the horrible infestation of maggots. This is no life for a dog, but YOUR help is desperately needed to change it. At the Soi Dog shelter, Dr Win examined me and removed so many dead maggots from that painful wound. A lot of the surrounding tissue was rotting or dying and he had to...

Soi Dog co-founder Gill Dalley was out on duty with our Animal Rescue Officers when she met an amazing human being. Gill was accompanied by a camera man, filming a short programme for the BBC. Very high up in the jungle, they came across a Thai lady feeding stray dogs. Animal Rescue Officer Sanae stopped to talk to her as she is one of his contacts who reports dogs and cats in need of sterilisation, or those who require medical treatment. Here is a short video of what transpired, courtesy ...
