I have lived on the streets my entire life. So many have ignored me; so many have turned away. My name is Bluebell and I am only 2 years old.
I am here at the Soi Dog shelter now, horrifically emaciated and suffering with a cancerous tumour, which is very common among the street dogs of Thailand. The vets call it a transmissible venereal tumour or TVT. It means I will have to be started on chemotherapy but first, I must get stronger.

Se Kam was saved by the members of our Care for Cats Club.
She had been dumped on the street when she was no longer wanted. A tough situation for any cat, but Se Kam had an extra challenge – she is blind.
Thanks to the Soi Dog supporters who have joined our Care for Cats Club, Se Kam was rescued and taken to our shelter. She has since been adopted and finally has her forever home.

I am just over 2 years old and came to Soi Dog after I was found limping and in pain at the side of the road. I had been hit by car which damaged my back legs and my pelvis. I have received intensive physiotherapy to help strengthen my muscles. I walk so much better now, but I do still limp and I sometimes cross my hind legs when I walk.

Dr Who was only 5 months old when he arrived at our shelter having been hit by a car. At such a young age he was already experiencing the suffering of street dogs in Thailand.

Puddles was rescued after being dumped at a local temple. She went on to live at our shelter for a year, before being adopted by Amanda in Denmark.
The bond between our rescued animals and the adopters who take them into their hearts and homes is a very special one, as this photo of Amanda and Puddles demonstrates.
