I am a 3½ year old girl and have been at the Soi Dog shelter, Phuket, Thailand since I was 3 months old. That is nearly all my life and it makes me sad.
I lived a hard life on the streets. While looking for food, I was hit by a car and left with a broken leg. I was lucky to be brought to the shelter. It saved my life, but I do not want to live here forever.

By the time the driver saw Brandee it was too late. She had run out in front of his car and left him no time to stop. The car ploughed into her, seriously injuring her left hind leg. She is only 4 months old.
Distraught, the driver of the car stopped and scooped up this terrified girl, and drove her to the nearest vet clinic. While she was being given emergency treatment, he returned to the scene of the accident and started to ask around, trying to find Brandee’s owner.

Give Dogs Like Blammo A Second Chance At Life

At just 6 weeks of age, Blammo was found lying in an alley, weak and shivering. He was seriously dehydrated and his tiny body was covered in seriously infected wounds. The kind person who found him brought him to our shelter and we appealed for your help.
Thanks to people like you, we were able to start Blammo on fluids and tend to his wounds. He also needed treatment for worms. He has made a remarkable recovery and is barely recognisable as that sad young boy we met back then.

TIED TO A POLE AND ABANDONED BY HIS OWNER...
A kind lady and her husband found Glenna abandoned in the street. He had been tied to a pole and was unable to move. His constant crying had alerted the couple, who contacted our clinic.
We may never know what happened to Glenna, but he is currently unable to use either of his hind legs, which were causing him obvious pain when he arrived at our shelter. His muscles have wasted and both legs are covered in wounds. If only this poor boy could talk.

End The Suffering For Street Dogs And Cats

In March 2014, Dumbo was rescued from where he was permanently chained, in the blazing sunshine, with no access to water or shade.
When he arrived at our shelter, he was emaciated and dehydrated, and shockingly weak. We appealed for help with his care and medical treatment, and people like you responded - and ultimately, you saved him.
Dumbo made a remarkable recovery and spent 8 months living at our shelter, before being adopted by Pauline in the UK, where he has now been for almost a year.

Topsy was dumped as a young pup and arrived at our shelter shortly after. She was only about 8 weeks old.
After 5 months with us, Topsy struck gold when she was adopted by Dick and Gerda in Amsterdam!
Dick and Gerda were already well known at Soi Dog as not only have they volunteered several times, their son Ray is a long-term volunteer at our shelter. Ray is responsible for the photographs and videos you see on our Facebook page.

Gorgeous Trin's story was one of the most dramatic rescues your support has enabled us to carry out.
Heavily pregnant when she was hit by a car, Trin took off in terror, despite having sustained very serious injuries. A kind man who chased after her found her hiding in a large concrete pipe on an empty construction site. She had gone into labour.
