WHY THE DOGS OF THAILAND NEED YOUR HELP
My name is Amber. I am about 5 years of age now and have lived a hard life on the streets, like millions of others.
I arrived at the Soi Dog shelter after a terrifying accident when I was hit by a car. I was lying by the side of the road when found, unable to move. The pain in my leg was unbearable.
At the shelter, the vets noticed that while I could stand, I was unable to walk on my left hind leg. When they examined it further, they noticed a grating...

Hello, it's Beanie here!
I just wanted to say thank you to the people like YOU who saved me from slaughter in the horrible dog meat trade.
Because of you, I got a second chance at life and a lovely lady called Katrin adopted me! Katrin lives in Germany and I had to get on a big plane and make a long journey to my forever home, but boy, was it worth it!
Here I am now, chilling out at home. It feels good to say that - and it would never have happened without someone like you.
Will you please h...

HE DESERVES BETTER. CLICK HERE TO HELP HIM. 8th Oct 2015, by Soi Dog Foundation
The tumours were taking over my body when they found me. I am a boy of 7 years of age, who has lived a hard life on the streets. My name is Jukebox.
I arrived at the Soi Dog shelter suffering with something called TVT or trans-venereal tumours. Although you may not see this much in dogs in your country, it is very common among the street dog population in Thailand.
I had already lost an eye to one of these tumours after it completely engulfed it and caused it to protrude from the socket. It w...

I was grabbed from the street and crushed into a cage with many other dogs and driven away on a truck to cross the border. I could not understand why I was in this cage and why these people were doing this to me. I was terrified and so were all the other dogs crushed into those cages.
I could hear the younger dogs cryi...

PLEASE SIGN UP TO SPONSOR A DOG IN NEED! 8th Oct 2015, by Soi Dog Foundation
I AM SHY AND SCARED. WILL YOU PLEASE SPONSOR ME TO HELP WITH MY ONGOING CARE?
My name is Doris and when I was a few months old one of the Soi Dog volunteers found me abandoned in his garden. I had probably been dumped there because I was unwanted.
Sadly, some unknown traumatic experiences with humans have left me very anxious of people. I am now living in the shy dog run here at the shelter, where I am safe and well cared for but my fear does mean I am unlikely to be adopted right now.
Will ...

YOU ARE ALL HE HAS. WILL YOU HELP HIM? 7th Oct 2015, by Soi Dog Foundation
IF I COULD TALK, YOU WOULD KNOW MY SUFFERING
I am only 2 years old and have lived my whole life on the street, like so many others. They call me Muska.
I was so weak when I arrived at the Soi Dog shelter that I could barely stand up. A shocking wound covered the right side of my face and neck. The wound was severely infected and infested with maggots. I was also diagnosed with severe anaemia and the vets said my white blood cell count was abnormally high.
This is the life of a street dog. Fr...

I WILL MOST LIKELY LIVE OUT THE REST OF MY LIFE AT THE SHELTER – PLEASE SPONSOR ME!
The tragic circumstances in which I arrived at the Soi Dog shelter were testimony to the many years I spent fending for myself on the streets. My name is Chord and I am over 11 years old now.
I was struggling with horrendous skin problems and a serious leg injury when I arrived here. Sadly, it was too late to save my leg and it had to be removed to end my pain.
I have recovered well from that trauma, but my...

ANOTHER 4 LIVES SAVED FROM THE DOG MEAT TRADE!
Our investigators recently received intelligence from Sakon Nakhon, in the north-east of Thailand, about dogs being grabbed from the street late at night by men on motorbikes.
Our anonymous source mentioned having seen the dogs packed, 1 or 2 to a sack, before the bikes sped away with them.
Upon receiving this tip-off, our investigators, with the cooperation of the Royal Thai Police, staked out the surrounding area.
At 4.00am on October 5th, th...

Lewis arrived at our shelter early last year, after being orphaned when his mother was killed. He was only a tiny pup at the time.
Lewis (on the left as you look at the photo) was adopted by Agata and Michael in Scotland, who sent us this great picture of him with his new best friend.
From terrible beginnings, Lewis got a second chance at life and hit the jackpot with his adoption. This is all we want for all the animals in our care.
Could YOU adopt a rescue dog or cat from us? We have hund...
