Sunset was just a young puppy when she arrived at our shelter, having been dumped by a busy road. She was in good health but, at such a young age, would never have survived the dangers around her.
Lucky Sunset spent just 8 months at our shelter before being adopted by Jeannie and Martin in Vancouver, Canada. She has been re-named Sunny and has just celebrated her first birthday!

I was only a puppy when I arrived at the Soi Dog shelter with a severe case of mange, which had made all my fur fall out and my skin really itchy.
With treatment, I recovered quickly, but I am an extremely shy dog. If someone gives me their time and patience, I eventually come round and enjoy having cuddles, but it does take a long time to earn my trust.

WHEN WE MET HER, SHE COULDN’T EVEN STAND UP
We were shocked when we met Lilandra. Just over a year old, her shrunken body was being ravaged by one of the worst cases of mange we have ever seen. She was so weak she couldn’t stand up. Bald patches covered her emaciated body and face. The light in her eyes had simply gone out.

After being attacked with a machete, Chang was left with horrendous wounds, the worst of which ran the length of his face.
This brutal attack happened in an area of Thailand called Pattaya, about 600 miles from where we are located on the island of Phuket.
