END THE SUFFERING OF STRAY DOGS & CATS 21st Nov 2015, by Soi Dog Foundation
Did you know that you don’t have to be in Thailand to be a part of Soi Dog Foundation’s Emergency Response Team? Our work of spaying, neutering and providing medical treatment to thousands of dogs and cats every month is funded by this team.
They have prevented the births of tens of thousands of unwanted puppies and kittens that would go on to live a miserable existence on the streets, before dying of illness or injury.
They have funded the emergency medical care of all the animals we hav...

I was found with seriously infected wounds on two of my legs. Nobody will ever know how this happened to me but I am lucky that infection didn’t kill me. My name is Geranium and I am just a young girl, only about a year old. I am a street cat of Thailand.
The lady who found me was shocked by my appearance. The wounds covered two of my inner thighs and the pain was unbearable. I was struggling to walk and so scared of what would become of me. This lady took me to a nearby vet clinic, after whi...

PLEASE SPONSOR ME DURING MY TWILIGHT YEARS
I am a lady called Hogi and I am 13½ years old now.
I arrived at the Soi Dog shelter with horrendous skin problems, resulting in all my fur falling out. Unfortunately, I am still prone to skin infections, but am lucky to get the medical treatment I need here at the shelter.
Can you please become a SPONSOR for me?
At my age, I now like to spend my days sleeping and eating, here in the old dog run. I am happy and cared for, and I will remain here f...

WILL YOU PLEASE CLICK HERE TO HELP HER? 20th Nov 2015, by Soi Dog Foundation
I have lived on the streets of Thailand since the day I was born. Life has been tough, as it is for all street dogs like me. My name is Rattikarn and I am only just over a year old.
I was just trying to find some food when I was hit by the car. I had run into the street, not understanding fully the risks I was taking. It was too late by the time I heard the screaming of brakes. The car ploughed into me and I was flung to the side of the road.
That accident has left me with terrible injuries ...

SIBLING LOVE
Opal was battling severe mange, blood parasites and worms when she arrived at our shelter. Shockingly skinny, she was starving to death.
The support of people like you meant we could take Opal in and help her. She received treatment for her health conditions and went on to make a remarkable recovery.
After over four years living at our shelter, she was adopted by Keelan in Ontario, Canada, where she has firmly bonded with new sibling Copper. (Opal is the black dog at the front o...

Soi Dog Foundation 20th Nov 2015, by Soi Dog Foundation
We are often asked what the best way of helping all our shelter animals would be. Without a doubt, one of the biggest ways you can help is by joining our Sponsor Club, which is always in need of more members.
We have many dogs at our shelter that are currently not adoptable. Either they are still terrified of people and need a lot more work with our volunteers, or they have ongoing health issues that need specialist care.
Sadly, looking after so many of these animals does cost money and this ...

My name is Sprite. I am a girl of about 6 years of age and a survivor of the illegal dog meat trade. Please give me a home and brighten my future. Email cristy@soidog.org to ADOPT me.
They snatched me from the street. They crushed me into a metal cage with many other dogs. They hurled hundreds of these cages, all filled with petrified dogs, on to a big truck. We drove in the dead of night towards the border.
Where were these people taking me? I could hear the other dogs crying with fear as we ...

I have adjusted well to having three legs, but the horrors of my life on the street have made me fearful of strangers. This means it will be a while before I am ready for a home of my own.

Milo (then named Misio) arrived at our shelter after being callously thrown from a speeding car, after which he was immediately hit by another car.
The fact that he survived at all is a miracle and his amazing recovery is all down to you. Milo had a fractured leg on arrival but was also being ravaged by blood parasites and severe anaemia.
YOUR support meant we could take him in and treat him, and thanks to you, we watched him recover and thrive in the puppy run.

I arrived at the Soi Dog shelter with some terrible health problems. I was covered in ticks and shockingly weak. Both my eyes had clouded over with late-stage cataracts, my right eye popping out of its socket.

My name is Augusta and in my short life I have seen so much suffering. I arrived at Soi Dog as a two month old puppy. I was sick with diarrhea and unable to eat.
The vets helped me get better, but I still carry the mental scars of my sad start to life. I am a very shy girl, which sadly does not make me adoptable at this stage.
I hope one day I will be brave enough to be adopted, but until then I feel safe and loved h...

Those of you who have followed our page for a long time will remember this very special boy and we hope you enjoy the pictures of him in his forever home.
His story is just one example of what the donations of Soi Dog supporters have achieved and continue to achieve every day.
We first heard about Hero when a local lady contacted us. She had found Hero lying in a corner behind a building. He had been brutally stabbed in several places. He was bleeding profusely and had cra...

I am Nam Fon. I am an older girl now, about 7 years of age and I’ve lead a hard life on the streets. Dogs like me risk our lives every day, just trying to find food and shelter – just trying to live.
I was found with a severely infected wound on my back. It was probably after being attacked by another dog – we get very territorial about our areas and that’s another danger we face. The kind lady who found me took me to Soi Dog.
I was not the only dog in that clinic waiting for treatment...
