I was only a puppy when I arrived at the Soi Dog shelter with a severe case of mange, which had made all my fur fall out and my skin really itchy.
With treatment, I recovered quickly, but I am an extremely shy dog. If someone gives me their time and patience, I eventually come round and enjoy having cuddles, but it does take a long time to earn my trust.

White Sand arrived at our shelter as a young puppy over 3 years ago. He had been found abandoned in an area where there was no access to food or water and would have certainly died if left there.
Thanks to you, we were able to care for White Sand and keep him safe until a wonderful lady in England named Kelly got in touch to say she would like to adopt him.

I am Hayley. I am about 4½ years old and I have spent my life on the streets of Thailand, the only home I’ve ever known. I was found one day with a seriously injured leg. The people who found me had no way of knowing what had happened, but the leg was injured beyond repair.

My name is Pearl now, and this is my story.
I was a happy street dog of Thailand, until the day I was grabbed by evil men and thrown in a small, rusting cage which already held three other dogs.

THE LITTLE BOY WHO SO NEARLY LOST AN EYE
Woodpecker is about 3 years of age and arrived at our shelter after a lady found him with a horrendous wound to his left eye. It was filled with maggots and bleeding profusely. Woodpecker whimpered constantly with the pain.
The lady managed to get him into her car and to our shelter. Woodpecker was terrified and in a great deal of pain. He had to be mildly sedated in order for the vets to get to work on his severely damaged eye. The question on everyone...

I have lived on the streets of Thailand since the day I was born. Life has been tough, as it is for all street dogs like me. My name is Rattikarn and I am only just over a year old.
