100,000 STERILISATIONS!
This week fittingly saw our longest serving vet, Dr. Su, perform the 100,000th spay/neuter prcoedure carried out by Soi Dog Foundation since it first started on the island of Phuket.
In our first full year back in 2004, founders Margot, John and Gill managed to sterilise just over 1,400 dogs, mostly at their own expense, when they were the only dog catchers and nurses. Over 2,800 dogs and cats were sterilised in November alone this year, with 4 teams operating in separ...

NEVER SAY NEVER...
Shakey Joy spent over 10 years at our shelter after being dumped over the fence in early 2005. A bout of distemper had left her with a permanent shake, hence her name.
For the longest time, it looked like Shakey Joy would spend the rest of her days at our shelter, but everything changed the day Cynthia in Minnesota, USA, laid eyes on her.

I was at death’s door when they found me. My name is Diggory. I am only about a year old, but life on the streets has not been kind.

Earlier this year, Alunda arrived at our shelter having been horrifically attacked. He was left with a deep wound on his side, reportedly from where a group of drunk people had attacked him late at night.

In April of last year, Topsy was just a tiny puppy when she arrived at our shelter having been abandoned without her mother.
Thanks to people like you, we were able to take her in and care for her until she was adopted by Dick and Gerda in the Netherlands. Here's Topsy today, joining in with the Christmas fun.

Auan arrived at our shelter unable to walk. After being hit by a car and seriously injuring both of his hind legs, this 8 year old boy was petrified and in unbearable agony. He was lethargic and weak and refused to eat.

I was found alone and vomiting. My coat was filthy and I was infested with ticks. I am just 10 weeks old and have already suffered so much. My name is Rien.

Just over a year ago, Smoocher arrived at our shelter battling blood parasites, low blood platelets and severe anaemia. He was infested with ticks and just 15 weeks old.
