Pecan was just a tiny street pup when he was orphaned after his mother was killed by a car. Thanks to the support of people like you, we were able to take him in and keep him safe at our shelter.
In total, Pecan spent 1 year and 7 months with us, before being adopted by Craig and family in Canada. Please enjoy this series of photos which show Pecan's journey from a vulnerable, orphaned little pup to a happy grown dog in his new home. Thank you Craig and family for adopting!

At the shelter, they have named me Templeton. I arrived here because a nice lady found me wandering the streets with a very bad injury to my left front leg. Nobody will ever know what happened to cause this, but it is most likely I was hit by a car. I was only a tiny kitten, all alone in the world.

I HAVE LOST EVERYTHING I EVER KNEW
I was found running around the middle of a dangerously busy road. Twice, I was nearly hit by passing cars. I was terrified and confused. I am a boy who is only about a year old and somehow I cheated death that day.
