ALL ALONE AND IN A WORLD OF SUFFERING
The kind lady who alerted Soi Dog told them my story. She was a regular at the local temple, feeding the pack of dogs who lived there. She found me one day, bleeding profusely from my mouth and nose. I was also severely infested with ticks.

Soi Dog Foundation is very pleased that Dr. Chomphol, one of Thailand’s leading neuro and orthopaedic surgeons, has agreed to assist with complicated surgeries at our new dog hospital.
In addition, Dr Chomphol will be providing training to our own veterinarians in such procedures. To date, in just two visits, he has helped five patients and saved six limbs from amputation. All his patients have recovered exceptionally well from their surgeries.

The first picture below is Chaofah on arrival at our shelter. She had been abandoned by her owner and then poisoned. The Good Samaritans who found her unconscious and frothing at the mouth raced to call our shelter, and, thanks to people like you, her life was saved.

Check out this video of one Thai animal lover who realised that stray dogs don't get hugs the way pet dogs do, and set out to rectify this.
With Bangkok home to approximately 640,000 street dogs, we have now started our mobile spay/neuter project with the aim of sterilising the street dog population through a series of mobile clinic teams across the Bangkok metropolitan area.

Today, Prince runs free on the Californian ranch that is his home.
But when he was rescued, a deep and bloody wound around his neck was the result of him being grabbed by crude metal tongs and thrown in a cage. He was being transported to a slaughterhouse when he was rescued by volunteer activists. Prince has survived the horrors of the Yulin dog meat festival and thanks to people like you donating to get him and countless others out of China, he will never be hurt again.

Moran Market, the largest dog meat market in South Korea is shutting down! Yesterday, the Seongnam City Government announced the move, with officials describing the decision as a step towards ending the animal welfare controversy over the industry.

AN UPDATE ON LITTLE TIM-TAM
We recently brought you the story of Tim-Tam, found outside a hospital gate by a man who was delivering his wife to have their baby. Tim-Tam’s desperate cries alerted him and it is little wonder why – this tiny pup had had one of her back paws chopped off. At just 7 weeks of age, she was in a world of pain.

Athelstan was found by an Animal Rescue Officer, alerted by his cries. A chronically infected wound had taken over the back of his neck. He was covered in lice and had bald patches on his head and back.
