Until a year ago, 8-year-old Jakome had an owner who cared for him. But when his owner died, Jakome was left to fend for himself on the streets. Some kind people in the community took pity on him and began feeding him. One day, they found Jakome extremely ill and severely wounded.

HELP CARE FOR DOGS RESCUED FROM THE DOG MEAT TRADE
Yesterday, 55 dogs rescued from the Asian dog meat trade were transported from a Soi Dog-funded shelter in northeastern Thailand to our shelter on the island of Phuket, in southern Thailand.

In her eyes there was a deep sadness. Sairung was only weeks old when she was found by a Soi Dog staff member nearly 200 miles from our shelter.
Record rainfall had caused heavy flooding in the southern Thai provinces, meaning people were evacuated from their homes. With many of these people regularly feeding the street animals in their communities, thousands of street dogs and cats were suddenly without food.

Ranee was only about 10 weeks old when she arrived at Soi Dog. Clearly neglected for a long time, she was infested with ticks and battling a horrendous skin condition. Her right ear was raw and painful, infected with several maggot-infested wounds.

SHE’S A SURVIVOR. BUT SHE NEEDS YOUR HELP.
She was walking along, desperately looking for food: a typical day for a street dog. Suddenly, her world went dark as she was flung into the air. She cried out in pain.
A car had careened into her.
The 2-year-old dog was rushed to Soi Dog by a supporter who witnessed the terrible accident. She was bleeding profusely from the mouth and had difficulty breathing. She couldn’t move. She was named Proud.
