Meet Melbo, a Labrador lookalike and our current 🌟Dog of the Week🌟 https://links.soidog.org/adopt-melbo
Melbo was born on the busy streets of Thailand. Sadly, around the time of his first birthday, those streets got the better of him and he was hit by a car. Injured and scared, he was left stranded on a traffic island in the middle of the road, waiting for someone to get help. Fortunately, they did.
That was back in November last year. It’s incredible to think how far he’s come sinc...

Every year, you are:
🧡 Enabling tens of thousands of animals to be neutered and vaccinated, preventing the birth and suffering of millions.
🧡 Helping thousands of animals receive life-saving medical treatment, both by our veterinary teams ...

Despite Our Best Efforts To Provide The Best Veter.. 4th Apr 2023, by Soi Dog Foundation
Despite our best efforts to provide the best veterinary care and nurturing support, it may still take some time to erase the sadness from a dog’s eyes, as seen with the case of poor old boy, Libatius. 💔
Found all alone, with no one in sight, and with only a plastic sack for comfort, poor Libatius was left to wonder why his own people would leave him in such a cruel way. 😔
What’s more, our veterinary team found that when he arrived at the hospital, Libatius would bump into walls while...

Proudly reintroducing soi dog Peter. A handsome boy with a sweet and loving nature, we thought he would have been adopted by now, but he's still here and ready for your love: https://www.soidog.org/adopt/peter-2698
Peter was found by one of our mobile clinic teams hopping in pain with a deformed and injured front leg. It looked like he'd been dragging the leg across the ground for some time as his paw was badly scraped and infected.
Sadly, Peter's leg had to be amputated, but he went on to m...

🌟Dog of the Week🌟 Yamel is yearning for a home: https://links.soidog.org/dog-of-the-week-yamel
It ’s hard to imagine a tougher start to life than Yamel’s. At just a few months old, her mother was poisoned, leaving her and her six siblings alone and at risk of suffering the same fate. Worst of all, they were on a small island with nowhere to escape to.
Luckily, we were alerted to the situation by a kind person on the island, and a rescue mission by boat and truck soon followed.
Duri...

Hey, Im Opia, And Im Someone Who Never Gives Up A .. 30th Mar 2023, by Soi Dog Foundation
Hey, I’m Opia, and I’m someone who never gives up – a true fighter you might say. 🐶
I spent the first year of my living at a temple here in Phuket, Thailand. There were some very kind people who helped to care for me, but after I was attacked by another dog they were unable to continue looking after me as I had some very bad wounds, which is how I found myself here at Soi Dog.
One of the first things people notice when they first meet me (other than how cute I am of course) is that my...

🌟Dog of the Week🌟 Yamel may be all grown up now, but that frightened pup is still there under the surface. Can you help her out with a home? https://links.soidog.org/adopt-yamel
There’s a good reason for Yamel’s fear. She had a terrible start to life – left orphaned and alone on the streets after her mother was fatally poisoned. Fortunately, she and her six siblings were rescued before they suffered the same end.
With the support of our behaviour team, Yamel has come a long way du...

Prior to her arrival at the Soi Dog shelter in 2017, Cariad was living at a construction camp with her best friend Calab, but they were abandoned when the workers moved away.
Hungry and scared, they wandered into nearby residences for help. Instead of having compassion, the locals threatened to poison them.
Fortunately, Soi Dog board member and long-term volunteer Lillian heard the poisoning rumours...

At Just Six Months Old, Hornby Was Found Abandoned.. 27th Mar 2023, by Soi Dog Foundation
At just six months old, Hornby was found abandoned and restrained by a short leash on a rice field. 😥
Given that it is one of the hottest months in Phuket, with temperatures soaring up to 35c on some days, we dread to imagine what would have happened to Hornby if she had of been left alone for much longer.
Especially as her body temperature had already elevated due to the prolonged exposure to the heat. Fortunately, our veterinary team were able to help cool her down.
