“COME TO SOI DOG, EVERYBODY!”
Most people travel to Phuket for the beaches. But not Julia. Each time she’s travelled here with one purpose: to volunteer at the Soi Dog shelter. Julia just finished her 3rd volunteer stint, where she walked 20 dogs a day, Monday through Friday, for 4 weeks. That makes 400 walks – and some very happy dogs.

Catch, Neuter, Vaccinate, Return Efforts Expanding in Thailand
On Tuesday, Soi Dog hosted a 35-strong delegation from Songkhla province, in the south of Thailand. Songkhla is reported to have one of the highest incidences of canine rabies in the country. This is happening every day in factory farms and markets in South Korea – where it’s OK to murder dogs for their meat. You can help save them. FROM SOI DOG TO MOUNTAIN CLIMBER
Taylan is a 2-year-old beauty who was admitted to Soi Dog with a painful wound on her nose. She spent over a year at the shelter before traveling to Virginia in July. Recently Taylan went on a vacation to the mountains and loved hiking – she even reached her first summit! Taylan is also delighted to have cat siblings. While she is eager to play with them, they are not as quite as keen (yet)!
