Last month we went LIVE to welcome 60 dogs arriving from the Soi Dog-funded shelter in Buriram at our shelter in Phuket. These dogs were rescued from Thailand's illegal dog meat trade. Soi Dog would like to congratulate the Mayor of Bucheon city near Seoul, South Korea for his initiative to turn Bucheon into a compassionate “dog meat-free city”, which would be monumental in a country with over 17,000 dog meat farms. It is hoped that other cities in the Seoul area will follow Bucheon’s example.
