It might have been a while since we first introduced you to Gomez and Gollus, but their story is a memorable one.
After being abandoned on a desolate island without any food or water, fate finally smiled upon Gomez and Gollus at the start of the new year when a passing tourist on a kayak spotted the stranded pair on the 1st January.

It’s now 2006, and Soi Dog’s spay/neuter programme (known as CNVR – Catch, Neuter, Vaccinate, Return) is growing by the day.
The first milestone is achieved as the number of animals neutered and vaccinated passes 10,000. By the end of the year, the total reaches almost 15,000 animals since the founding three years earlier.

Do you remember Kamilla? Callously hurt by someone, she had given up all hope, until a kind-hearted individual found her and wanted to help.
She had a large open wound on her thorax which had likely been caused by a sharp object. We can’t imagine the horror she must have endured. 😥 Thankfully, our veterinary team found that it had not damaged her organs, although there was some muscle trauma.

“I knew FIV+ cats have less chance to get adopted, so I decided to help him to have a home forever.” – Thungyah’s adopter.
Thungyah was found abandoned in a rice field not far from the Soi Dog shelter in 2019.
He was just a few weeks old at the time and, without the round-the-clock care only a mother cat or foster carer can provide, he’d fallen victim to a number of health issues, including cat flu, dermatitis and a swollen, infected eye.

NongPom was having a hard time before he rescued. 😔 Being the smallest dog in the community, he was often picked on and would hide in fear of the other dogs and people around him.
