Punish Animal Cruelty Offences In Thailand To The Full Extent Of The Law!

Thailand enacted its first animal welfare law in December 2014, making acts of animal cruelty a criminal offence. Acts of animal cruelty are punishable by up to 2 years' imprisonment and/or a 40,000 THB fine (about 1,200 USD).
Despite this law, sentencing to date has been overly lenient and acts of horrific animal cruelty continue to be perpetrated.

We named him Shiver because he was always cold... He was just a few months old when he was found dumped by the roadside. Skin and bone, with no hair to keep him warm, he was close to death.
Shiver's horrific start in life left him severely traumatised and terrified of nearly everyone. Despite numerous people working with him, we feared he would never be ready to leave our shelter for a home of his own.
