International Blind Dog Day Feels Like The Perfect.. 23rd Aug 2023, by Soi Dog Foundation
International Blind Dog Day feels like the perfect opportunity to introduce you to Butterboy! https://links.soidog.org/adopt-butterboy
🌟Dog of the Week🌟 Butterboy was found abandoned in a sand bag by the side of the road when he was just a few weeks old. If that wasn’t scary enough for a young pup, he was also unable to see properly due to glaucoma and ulcers in his corneas.
Butterboy’s left eye had to be removed soon after his arrival at the shelter as it was causing him a lot of di...

This week in the #SoiDog20Years timeline, we look back just a few years to 2019 🧡
🐈 The expansion of Soi Dog and its various programmes ramped up again in 2019. This included the completion of the first purpose-built cat hospital, alleviating the strain placed upon the former cat treatment facility as the number of cats needing help also grew.
🏥 With the help of a financial grant from the Jeanne Marchig Trust, and assistance with interior furnishings from Fondation Brigitte Bardot, t...

From shy to a shining star 🌟
Maggotia was found limping around the grounds of a temple in Surat Thani. She was a puppy at the time and had a large open wound on her front leg. Fortunately, someone alerted our mobile clinic staff in the area who picked her up and transferred her to our shelter in Phuket.
While Maggotia made a full physical recovery, she struggled with the emotional side of things. This sweet girl was confident in familiar spaces but shy and uncertain when venturing further....

It Broke Our Hearts To See Downy When He First Arr.. 22nd Aug 2023, by Soi Dog Foundation
It broke our hearts to see Downy when he first arrived. 💔 He was just skin and bones. 😢 We dread to think how long he must have been suffering for.
The moment he had his first bowl of food upon arrival must have been an immense relief - to no longer feel hungry and in pain.
Downy will now continue to receive all the loving care he needs, including three meals a day, which will help him regain the weight he has lost.
Will you please help dogs like him? No animal deserves to suffer life t...

In The Soidog20years Timeline, Were Now Up To 2018.. 17th Aug 2023, by Soi Dog Foundation
In the #SoiDog20Years timeline, we’re now up to 2018 🧡
In April of that year, misinformation from local authorities concerning a rabies outbreak in Nakhon Phanom province led to the rounding up of thousands of stray dogs and, out of sheer unfounded panic, the surrendering by their owners of hundreds of pets.
Through no fault of their own, these dogs suddenly found themselves in a cramped and ill-equipped government livestock facility. Eventually, only a handful of cases of rabies were de...

⚠️ Upsetting images ⚠️ Do you remember the heartbreaking rescue we shared with you in June involving a dog named Nuengsa?
After spending seven years of his life on the streets, Nuengsa came dangerously close to losing his life in a vicious and brutal attack, where he was deliberately scalded with boiling liquid.
The attack caused painful and inflamed burns all over his body. His ear was so badly burned, there was barely anything left of it. 😓 Can you imagine how much pain he must h...

⚠️ Upsetting images ⚠️ Can you believe that someone would do this to him? 😦 Arriving with an injured eye, we were told that someone had deliberately hurt Brownhill by throwing a rock at him. 😢 He had only been trying to survive.
Even more distressing, we learned that this wasn't the first time he had suffered such cruelty. We can only imagine what he has endured.
Our veterinary team will now do everything they can to save his eye, but sadly, there is a high chance he will lose ...
