Are you looking for love? My name is Theta and I am ready to be your loyal companion. When I arrived at Soi Dog, I was suffering from TVT and had a severe wound on my leg. If I had been left on the streets, who knows what would have happened to me. Luckily, the vets were able to give me the necessary treatment to recover, though were unable to save my leg. Although it took me a few weeks to get used to the three-legged life, I have gained my strength and can now get around with ease.

Thanks to the support of people like you, our Community Outreach team travels all over the island, visiting monks at temples, animal rescuers, and other compassionate individuals who are caring for stray dogs and cats in their community.
The team provides training and advice on medical treatment, basic first-aid, and general animal care, meaning animals with minor ailments can be treated on site, freeing up space in our shelter for emergency cases.

#Furrytailendings are the best way to start the day. Kai, previously known as Sasquatch, was without a doubt once of the most popular dogs here at the shelter. He has survived two nearly fatal road traffic accidents that left him with a quirky walk and blind in one eye. However, that did not stop him from capturing the heart of each person that he met. It was early one morning and a lady was exercising near her local beach. In the quietness of the morning, she heard whimpering and found two tiny pups had fallen over the edge of a nearby ledge. Trapped in a hole, they were unable to move. They were soaking wet from the recent monsoon rains. There was no mother in sight.

Cat of the week!
This is Truman who came to Soi Dog Foundation 11 months ago in a pitiful state. His left eye was severely infected, he had wounds on his neck and legs. And his right eye also had limited vision due to a corneal ulcer.
Over the next few months, Truman went through treatment that made him stronger and help build his immunity. Sadly his left eye could not be saved but, as you can see his right eye started to improve dramatically as did his general health.

Zenya was a terrified, traumatised dog when we met him.
