When people first look at me they see an intimidatingly large dog. However, it does not take long to see I am just a gentle giant with a goofy old soul. My name is Matham and I am finally ready to find that special someone.
I was brought into Soi Dog from the local government pound. No one knows where I came from or why I was chucked into the pound, but I did not cope well. I had no appetite and as each day passed I got skinnier and weaker. I started to lose the will to live. Thankfully, the s...

My name is Fairytale - but sadly, my life has been anything but. I arrived here severely malnourished and bleeding from my nose and mouth. I am also blind. Will you please sponsor me? https://bit.ly/Sponsor_Fairytale
The vets here said I had many health problems. Weak and dehydrated, I could barely stand. I had muscle wastage in both my hind legs and a deformity of the spine.
I am doing so much better now, having received the medical treatment and care I needed. But I am an older lady and my...

No dog should have to suffer, nearly invisible to anyone who could help, with no hope of getting relief or of anyone caring about her pain. Please click on https://bit.ly/SaveChrom now and make a gift that will make ...

Abandoned like unwanted trash, a rusting chain piercing her neck. These were the circumstances in which we met Alcander. This beautiful girl’s suffering is simply heartbreaking.
A kind lady found Alcander. She had appeared near her house, the picture of neglect, an old chain wrapped around her neck, piercing through the flesh. It is unbearable to think of the pain she must have been in. Now imagine if there had been nowhere she could be taken when that lady found her?
The rusting chain was c...

August 17th is designated to bring awareness to the plight of black cats (and black and white cats).
They are the least favourites to be picked by potential adopters. But if you take a moment to get to know these kitty cats, you will realise that they are some of the most affectionate and fun loving felines you will ever meet.
Read the tales of some of these special cats here at #SoiDogFoundation

Tiny Tawny was terrified. The 6-month-old homeless kitten was being relentlessly chased and bitten by dogs in her neighborhood. With no mother in sight to protect her, she could have been killed at any time. The poor baby already had a large, horrific wound on her left hind leg when she arrived at Soi Dog.
No kitten should have to live alone, hungry, terrified, and constantly threatened by dangerous animals. When you click http://bit.ly/SaveInjuredCatsLikeTawny, you will be taken to our Care F...

Will you sponsor me? https://bit.ly/Sponsor_Fasuay
My name is Fasuay and I was struggling with terrible skin problems when the humans here found me. Living on the streets as a homeless dog, I had no owner to care for me and take me for medical treatment.
My skin problems had caused me to lose most of my fur, leaving me with bald spots all over my body and painful open sores from where I was constantly scratching myself. Back then, the sadness in my eyes was clearly visible. Will you please spons...

Will you take a chance on a senior like me? Hi there, my name is Hopper and I definitely live up to my name. No one knows what happened to me or how I lost my leg, but I am happy boy who hops and hobbles around. I was brought to Soi Dog because I was extremely skinny and lethargic. Although I had people feeding me while I lived on the streets, they noticed I was becoming weaker and not putting on weight. After an examination at Soi Dog, the vets discovered I was suffering from a blood parasite. ...

Yuri is only four years old, but when we first met him, the poor homeless boy looked like he’d already lived all nine lives, and then some. He was found in a heartbreaking state by a kind person in his neighborhood. Yuri had gotten injured, and because he had no one to look after him, his injury got infected. As is common in tropical Thailand, maggots quickly invaded his wound.
No animal should have to endure this horror. Please give at https://bit.ly/SaveInjuredCats now so homeless animals ...

Living in the streets is not an easy lifestyle for many dogs and cats in Thailand. While many have people who care and feed them, the rest are left to fend for themselves. They need to scrounge for food, search for safe shelter, and protect themselves from the various dangers found on the street.
Kalimnoi arrived at our shelter in a shocking state. She was covered in ticks and fleas and was severely emaciated. If she was left untreated for much longer, Kalimnoi’s story would be so different. ...

Nicky is a sweet, friendly old male dog who arrived at Soi Dog with severe maggot wounds. Sometime in his 13 years of life, both his ears had been injured. Unfortunately, in Phuket’s hot, tropical climate, it’s common for maggots to quickly infest wounds in homeless animals like Nicky.
No animal deserves this. Will you please give now to ensure homeless animals like this old boy have a place to be treated for the injuries and illnesses that befall them? https://bit.ly/SaveNicky

I arrived at the Soi Dog shelter with a large, maggot-infested wound. I was just two months old and they named me Margarita. Will you help me by going to https://bit.ly/Sponsor-Margarita to sponsor my care?
Those early days on the streets were a struggle that has scarred me deeply and still today, at 6 years old, I am a very shy and nervous girl. This means that I need a lot more work before I can be adopted.
You can still help me by doing something very special. Will you visit https://bit.ly/...
