Brownie's Got All The Love In World, He's Just Waiting For You! 27th Mar 2020, by Soi Dog Foundation
My name is Brownie. I was minding my own business when a car came out of nowhere and ran me over. A local person saw what happened and called Soi Dog for rescue.
Now I am in safety here at the shelter in Phuket. The doctor’s fixed my broken leg that I sustained from the car accident and I recovered well. Now I am ready to find my forever home.
The volunteers here say that I look very special with my wrinkly forehead. They say that I have a cheeky twinkle in my eye and that I like to play wi...

March is dedicated to Pet Poison Prevention Awareness month and this week many countries have raised awareness on poison prevention and promoting community involvement in poisoning prevention.
Soi Dog’s Community Outreach & Education Programme is vital to a country that faces overpopulation of stray animals, like Thailand. Due to the sheer number of free roaming dogs and cats, the sad reality is that sometimes there are a number of cases where street dogs and cats have been deliberately poi...

My name is Barcero, and I’m honoured to receive the award for the “Happiest Dog in the Run” and the 🌟Dogs of the Week🌟 With 22 other cheerful canines in my run, there was tough competition, but I came out on top. https://links.soidog.org/Adopt-soidog-Barcero
I couldn’t have done it without the vets at the shelter. They cared for me when I was brought in with a leg wound so deep you could see the bone. I had got caught in a trap and tugged desperately until my paw was free. The wou...

Divan spent the first year of her life fighting for survival. She had to navigate Thailand’s dangerous roads, forage for food and find shelter – all alone.
But when she became infested with mange, she knew it was time to ask for help. Divan was found meowing desperately by a main road. When a passerby saw her condition, he rushed her to our shelter immediately. Mites had burrowed deep beneath her skin, and in her desperation to relieve the irritation, she scratched and scratched until the f...

Updates On 24th Mar 2020 24th Mar 2020, by Soi Dog Foundation
Last year we opened our brand new cat hospital - it was a real milestone for Soi Dog Foundation.
The eagerly anticipated and long-overdue facility provides the best possible surroundings for the treatment and recovery of sick and injured street cats. The new building replaces the smaller, previous cat hospital facility that was permanently operating over capacity with both resident cats and new hospital patients. That facility is, in turn, being refurbished and repurposed as a dedicated cattery...

Open Your Heart And Your Home For This Very Specia.. 24th Mar 2020, by Soi Dog Foundation
Hi there! My name’s Harry, and I have a fascinating feline fact for you. Did you know that cats have three eyelids? As well as the upper and lower ’lids, there’s another one in the corner, close to our noses.
These eyelids are usually unnoticeable but, as you can see, mine protrude a little. Luckily for me, a world-class ophthalmologist visited the shelter and offered to examine me. He said that, while it’s not possible to fix the protrusion, I’m still a healthy boy. And in his exper...

We very much welcome this move to draft a directive to stop illegal trading and consumption of wildlife in Vietnam. https://links.soidog.org/Wildlife-Trading-in-Vietn am-at-halt
But with dog and cat meat stalls common at wet markets, we strongly urge the Vietnamese authorities to include companion animals in the directive, making the trade and consumption of dog and cat meat illegal too.
As part of Soi Dog Foundation’s campaign in Hanoi, we are asking Formula 1 to use their influence to pus...

It's World Water Day today, and this year's theme is water and climate change – and how the two are inextricably linked.

Let Me Be Proof That Love Is Blind! 22nd Mar 2020, by Soi Dog Foundation
Hello there. My name is New Lilly, and I’m told I’m one of the sweetest dogs here at the shelter. I arrived here in June 2017 from the local Government Pound. The vets discovered that I am blind and knew I would be safest coming to Soi Dog. Everyone wondered how I’d managed to live on the streets. But as soon as I entered the enclosure with other dogs with special needs, I showed everyone how smart I am and how I manage my blindness really well.
I walk well on a lead with support from vo...

My Name Is Fasuay And I Was Struggling With Terrib.. 22nd Mar 2020, by Soi Dog Foundation
My name is Fasuay and I was struggling with terrible skin problems when the humans here found me. Living on the streets as a homeless dog, I had no owner to care for me and take me for medical treatment.
My skin problems had caused me to lose most of my fur, leaving me with bald spots all over my body and painful open sores from where I was constantly scratching myself. Back then, the sadness in my eyes was clearly visible.
Will you please sponsor my care? https://links.soidog.org/Sponsor-Fa...
