Siamrat arrived Soi Dog shelter when he was just 2 months’ old. Scared and hungry, he and his siblings were struggling to live on the streets. Luckily, he was brought to us by a caring person that knew how vulnerable a puppy can be and requires that extra love and care.
Although puppies like Siamrat missed the opportunity to live out their puppyhood years with a family of their own, thanks to supporters like you, they were saved and now have that chance to find a home. Today, Siamrat is over ...

In January, We Introduced You To Stealer, A Precio.. 11th Apr 2020, by Soi Dog Foundation
In January, we introduced you to Stealer, a precious 10-year-old girl who came to us with a long list of ailments, including deep wounds across her body, a missing lower jaw, ticks, dermatitis and chronic conjunctivitis. We could hardly imagine how someone could abandon a sweet senior dog like Stealer, particularly in her condition. But we don’t want to dwell on her troubled past today.
With this in mind, we are pleased to say that Stealer made a remarkable recovery at our dog hospital thanks...

Senior Cats Like Vados Need You Now More Than Ever! 11th Apr 2020, by Soi Dog Foundation
Beneath the rough, tough, one-eyed exterior lies a true marshmallow of a cat. Now that he's been rescued from the streets, Vados has turned into a big softie when it comes to cuddles. And that's just fine, because no cat deserves to suffer the way Vados did before. He has earned the right to be spoiled, at least a little. Read his story here: https://links.soidog.org/Sponsor-Vados-Soicat
Can you give this lovely old chap (he's 10 now!) some love and become his sponsor? By sponsoring Vados, you'...

Amidst The Partial Lockdown Due To Covid-19 In Ban.. 10th Apr 2020, by Soi Dog Foundation
Amidst the partial lockdown due to Covid-19 in Bangkok, Soi Dog’s CNVR (Catch- Neuter-Vaccinate-Return) teams are making the most of the situation by focusing on the shyer or feral dogs who are normally difficult to catch.
Keeping in line with social distancing, they are now aiming to get to the dogs who are normally difficult to catch and live away from populated areas. These recent pictures were from our Bangkok team as they tried to catch a family of shy dogs, who were hiding under various...

Distressing Images. Sitthichais Story Serves To Re.. 10th Apr 2020, by Soi Dog Foundation
*Distressing Images*
Sitthichai’s story serves to remind us that no dog is immune to the cruelty of life on the streets of Thailand, no matter how long they’ve lived there.
Sitthichai was homeless for seven long years. The fact he is still here today tells us that he is a survivor. But somewhere along the way, his life clearly took a dramatic and sudden turn for the worse.
A Soi Dog animal rescue officer found him at a fish market with a missing paw and a horrific open fracture to what re...

My name is Levin. I’m now more than 13 years old. Would you like to be my pal? Will you please be a sponsor for me? https://links.soidog.org/Sponsor-Levin-Today
Take one look at me and you'll see that I've been through just about everything. My tongue hangs out of my mouth because half my jaw is gone. No one knows what happened. And it's such an old injury, there’s no way to fix it.
My head has a slight tremor from some past trauma, or it might be I am a distemper survivor. Thanks to ...

Logan's Best Years Are Yet To Come! 9th Apr 2020, by Soi Dog Foundation
A very wise man once said, “Age is an issue of mind over matter. If you don’t mind, it doesn’t matter.” I’m Logan, and if you don’t mind that I’m an older boy, then neither do I!
I’m a familiar face here at the shelter, having arrived all the way back in October 2017. I was rescued not only from a life of suffering on the streets but from the cruel clutches of the dog meat trade too. I’m so grateful I got a second chance.
Since my rescue, I’ve learnt to embrace every day as...

Read Libby's Story Here. 8th Apr 2020, by Soi Dog Foundation
Libby has been at the Soi Dog shelter for a while and, although we enjoy every bit of her loveliness, we know that she would thrive in a home with a cat lover like you.
You would never guess that this well-groomed black kitty, with her purrfect amber eyes and cute, short tail, had such a rough past. She was only a kitten when found at the side of the road, terribly wounded and alone. Now that she’s safe and healthy, she’s looking for her life-long cuddle buddy.
She’s known to be quite af...

Namdange Is In Desperate Need Of A Home. 8th Apr 2020, by Soi Dog Foundation
This is Namdange. He was found suffering on the streets by a member of the Community Outreach Program. He was skinny, weak and had an issue with his eyes and skin. What started as mild discomfort, had progressed into something much more severe. Luckily he was brought into the Soi Dog hospital and given veterinary treatment. With time, Namdange's fur slowly grew back and his skin was no longer itchy. His eyes have improved too, although he will need eye drops for the foreseeable future.
Namdang...

We Always Love Receiving Updates About How Soi Dog.. 8th Apr 2020, by Soi Dog Foundation
We always love receiving updates about how Soi Dog rescues are adjusting once they've gone home.
These days it's all we look forward to.
They remind us of what's important as we all carry on helping voiceless and vulnerable animals during these difficult times.
This story is about Ororo.
She was named after Ororo Munroe or better known as Storm, of X-Men fame.
The reason was that she was fearless, feisty yet loyal and affectionate.
Ororo, was a friendly neighbourhood kitty, who met ...
