Want A New 'Viewpoint' In Your Life? Look No Furth.. 2nd Apr 2020, by Soi Dog Foundation
Hello there. What’s your name? I’m Viewpoint, but some people call me Oreo because I’m black on top and white in the middle!
For the first two years of my life, I lived at a popular viewpoint here in Phuket. It wasn’t such a bad life. I looked out onto the ocean, I felt the breeze in my fur and sometimes kind tourists would feed me. But that all changed when my spine was fractured in a hit and run. Suddenly nobody wanted to help me. I lost track of how many people passed by as I laid th...

Dressed To The Nines And Feline Fine! 2nd Apr 2020, by Soi Dog Foundation
Meow there! My name is Yinglek, and I’m a tuxedo kitty with her heart set on a future with you.
Yinglek is the name the kind Thai staff gave me when I arrived at Soi Dog in March 2019. It means “small girl”, and I certainly was on the smaller side back then. After being hit by a car, my hind legs were collapsing behind me and I was struggling to travel far to find anything to eat. Fortunately, help came in the form of food and physiotherapy here at the shelter, and now I’m a purrfectly ...

As a young boy who had a rough start in life, I have quite a lot to learn. I am looking for an owner that has experience with dogs who can pro...

Even though laws were in place at the time, thousands of animals fell victim to the trade and were transported across the border from Thailand through Laos to Vietnam. These animals were a mixture of abducted pets and innocent street dogs.
Since the crackdowns and since thousands of victim...

Her name is Doris. When she was just weeks old, she was snatched from her mother and thrown over the wall of a Soi Dog volunteer’s house. Will you please sponsor her? https://links.soidog.org/Sponsor-Doris-here
The trauma of that early separation and abandonment still haunts Doris to this day. Sadly, she remains very fearful of humans. She is curious and will sometimes approach a person, but if they move, Doris is spooked and runs away. She needs a lot of time, love, and patience before being...

In these solemn times, we want to brighten your day with Soi Dog’s 🌟 Cat of the week 🌟 Layanfive’s daily routine. Wake up. Eat. Sleep. Play. Eat. Cuddle. Sleep. Repeat. Who can relate?
This boy was found with an infected wound on his right hind leg which caused lesions and arthritis to develop in the bone underneath. The safest option was to amputate his leg. Despite having three legs, he still manages to strut around like a boss kitty.

🌟Cat of the Week🌟
The first thing you notice about Harry are his eyes or his third eyelids to be exact. These eyelids are usually unnoticeable but, Harry's protrude a little.
When little Harry arrived at the shelter as a tiny kitten, we were truly worried at first but, happy to let you know that a leading veterinary ophthalmologist examined his eyes and reassured that he does not need any surgery. Luckily, he is not in any pain and it doesn't affect his eye sight such that the...

Barcero our 🌟Dog of of the Week 🌟 is an example of how patience creates exquisite friendships. He went from shy and terrified to the ‘Happiest dog in the Run’ as voted by Soi Dog’s vets. Barcero came in with a leg wound so deep you could see the bone. The wound was dangerously infected and needed to be amputated.
Apart from the Vet Team, Barcero’s remarkable transformation would not have been possible without Soi Dog’s Behavior Team. Over time, this traumatised boy gained co...
