Five weeks old, blind and alone – poor Hanko was in dire need of help.

But little Hanko had even more to contend with. Not only was he navigating all of this alone, he was also doing it totally blind. We can only imagine how terrified he mus...

Despite his diagnosis, he was a healthy and happy boy. His luck changed when he got adopted. His adopter, Lauren, visited Soi Dog and instantly fell in love with him. He was then sent to Seattle, USA where he now spends the rest o...

This week, our CEO Louise Rose talks about Soi Dog’s work outside of Phuket, and how our teams around Thailand have adapted in order to continue helping as many homeless animals as possible during this crisis.
The current situation has left our shelter operating beyond capacity. With no adopted animals currently able to travel overseas due to travel restrictions, there are more animals than ever relying on our help. That is more food we must buy, more carers we must employ and more medical su...

Join The Cat Sponsor Programme To Care For More Cats Like Tairo. 1st May 2020, by Soi Dog Foundation
Meet Tairo. He's our newest sponsor cat - yes, sponsor CAT! We call him ''Ginger Spice'' because of the beautiful color of his coat, obviously.
But Tairo is so much more than his ginger good looks - he's also quite the survivor. He was hit by a car and left for dead. A kind person saw and called us for help. When Tairo first tried to walk, he couldn’t move either hind leg. He can walk normally now, but still has problems that keep him from being adoptable, like being FeLV+. But he doesn't le...

We are very excited to announce that #NationalAdoptaShelterPetDay also falls on #NationalTabbyCatDay this year! This must be a lucky sign for our resident tabby, sweet Benten.
A kind man rescued Benten, when he found him limping on the side of the road barely missing moving vehicles. When he was brought to us, our vets knew his leg was beyond repair and needed to be amputated. It took time for Benten to recover. Life on three-legs was new to him so he needed support from our carer to help him b...

In light of National adopt a shelter pet day which falls on the 30th of April, we would like to raise awareness in the importance of choosing to adopt a dog like Caviar. Animal shelters require year-round assistance and adoption is a part of the process.
Due to the recent crisis, no dogs and cats are able to fly to their adopter’s homes because of the travel ban. The sanctuary population is increasing by around 40 animals in a month. Since animals come in daily, the biggest way to help us wou...

**WARNING: GRAPHIC IMAGES
Lakota’s story isn’t one for the squeamish. This blue-eyed beauty arrived with a truly horrific, infected wound on his side that made even our most hardened vets flinch.
If we had been alerted to Lakota’s condition any later, it’s likely that he would have gone into septic shock. He is only a year old, and his small body was struggling to fight the infection.
Thankfully, a kind lady found him in her housing estate just in time and rushed him to a local cli...

We have seen many puppies turn to adult and spending a long time in the shelter. Dogs like Lupa has a chance to experience the love and joy of a family. She is approaching h...
