His adopter, Lauren, visited Soi Dog and instantly fell in love with him. He was then sent to Seattle, USA where he now spends the rest o...

1st May 2020, by Soi Dog Foundation

Meet Tairo. He's our newest sponsor cat - yes, sponsor CAT! We call him ''Ginger Spice'' because of the beautiful color of his coat, obviously. But Tairo is so much more than his ginger good looks - he's also quite the survivor. He was hit by a car and left for dead. A kind person saw and called us for help. When Tairo first tried to walk, he couldn’t move either hind leg. He can walk normally now, but still has problems that keep him from being adoptable, like being FeLV+. But he doesn't le...

30th Apr 2020, by Soi Dog Foundation

We are very excited to announce that #NationalAdoptaShelterPetDay also falls on #NationalTabbyCatDay this year! This must be a lucky sign for our resident tabby, sweet Benten. A kind man rescued Benten, when he found him limping on the side of the road barely missing moving vehicles. Life on three-legs was new to him so he needed support from our carer to help him b...

30th Apr 2020, by Soi Dog Foundation

In light of National adopt a shelter pet day which falls on the 30th of April, we would like to raise awareness in the importance of choosing to adopt a dog like Caviar. Animal shelters require year-round assistance and adoption is a part of the process. Due to the recent crisis, no dogs and cats are able to fly to their adopter’s homes because of the travel ban. The sanctuary population is increasing by around 40 animals in a month. Since animals come in daily, the biggest way to help us wou...

30th Apr 2020, by Soi Dog Foundation

**WARNING: GRAPHIC IMAGES Lakota’s story isn’t one for the squeamish. This blue-eyed beauty arrived with a truly horrific, infected wound on his side that made even our most hardened vets flinch. If we had been alerted to Lakota’s condition any later, it’s likely that he would have gone into septic shock. He is only a year old, and his small body was struggling to fight the infection. Thankfully, a kind lady found him in her housing estate just in time and rushed him to a local cli...

29th Apr 2020, by Soi Dog Foundation

Do you remember Jute, now known as Osgood? The poor boy had a type of cancerous tumour on his face. The Soi Dog vets were able to close the hole growing on his snout, but the mass ate through the bone and he was left with little holes at the roof of his mouth. This didn’t stop him from getting adopted. In 2017, he flew to his forever home in New York, USA. We received an uplifting update from his amazing family, who have been taking great lengths in making sure he’s comfortable and feelin...
