This clip was filmed by Cindy & Derek at "Dogs Island" in the Bangkok Flood district. Volunteer boats arrive each day to feed & spend time with 100 dogs stranded on a bridge/island in temple grounds. When the humans leave, the dogs howl.... it's a heart wrenching experience which you never forget.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED IN BANGKOK!!
SOI DOG FOUNDATION is setting up a temporary EMERGENCY CLINIC/RESCUE CENTER for dogs affected by the Bangkok Floods. We are currently finalising the premises which is located in central Sukhumvit. This premises has been kindly offered to us free of charge by a very kind Thai businessman.

Update From Cindy & Derek who are volunteering in Bangkok and surrounds
The water is still rising, we've been through flooded areas of Bangkok today, that weren't flooded yesterday. The rescue trip we were involved with yesterday involved a 4 hour journey on the back of a truck to a place called "Dogs Island". Again as per Photo Album (1) there are some dogs that are pictured sleeping, they are exhaused from there ordeal, but they are not dead,
We will not show you dead dogs as that would be too upsetting for you, its upseting for the rescuers, so we dont want to spread that kind of upset onto you, however there are dogs dying and drowning all the time, which is why it is crucial the rescue work carrys on and with your onging support.

Unfourtunatley, this are is home to trees with lots of vines and the dogs are gettnig caught up in them, rescuers have to be in the water to free them from this so they can get the dogs in the boats, the dogs are already freaked out from being trapped which makes the rescuers jobs a lot harder.

Get me on this boat NOW dont leave me here, I want to come home with you PLEASE.
This dog really did not want to be left behind each time the teams went back out into the water to carry on the rescues, the look in the eyes tells you that this dog knows people are here to help them.

This poor dog doesnt want to stay out of the boat after being rescued, we can only imagine the stress and fear the dog has been under the last few days, Clearly this dog must have an owner as it craves human company.
